I haven't responded to that in a long time, but thanks.

Also, I have great news! Eugen got his internet back up! But the bad news is he gone somewhere for today. But tomorrow, I will get there and add more sprites! and to mix things up, I'll add the countdown sprites!

I still can't figure out what the spinner would look like. I guess putting a Hamtaro episode disk would work.

Tottal disaster folks!

Eugen already sold his computer! *Runs around in terror* All the progress, GONE!

Well, there's one thing left to do: Since I'm lucky enough to save the sprites posted here, I'll continuing making it, this time, by saving it with my disk drive! *Parading around like an idiot* Problem is: How am I going to download the template skin w/o downloading the game itself?

You could always download something like the EBA/EBO skin and work from there.

Actually, as of the last time I checked, eirrol's Ouendan skin includes almost all of the template skin, so that might be a better place to start :P Even better, you could just ask Peppy in IRC, and he can probably give you a download link.

But you are right about the 'Almost' part. I can't understand the japanese language and the miss, 300, 100, 50, Katu and Geki icons arn't there... :o

Can you send me another link? Or at least some images?

I got both the spinner up, but I need to find out how to make space on the meter and make a osu sprite for the hamham word: Wondachu?

Any help? Maybe doing those tricky parts for me would be nice.

The image of the bar that fills up will completely overlap the layer beneath it. When filling in the region that's to be coloured for the spinner (the greyish bars on the outside), make sure you "cut out" the shapes of the hamhams so they aren't covered up. Only fill in the grey parts that you can actually see on your spinner-background.PNG file.

Okay. Now, here's the pause sprites. There are a pair of 2 of the same character, but speaks a different launguage you you can understand it. The same goes for the ranking ones. (The first two will count for both)

Ummm... Can someone point me on trying to get all 10 animation sprites on hamtaro rolling? I fliped him on the 90 degree angle 4 times and mannage to get 4 of it for the slider, but that's it... :o

Any help here?

You don't need to have 10 frames of animation. You can have more, or if you prefer, less. There's a .dat or .ini or something included in your skin template - just open it up in notepad, find the parameter, and change it.

Uh, hmm. You should have started from the osu! template, but it's no tragedy. Copy the .dat or .ini (I actually don't know what the extension is but it's probably .dat) from any other skin to your skin's folder, then go through it and edit all the appropriate fields. Stuff like name, author, slider animation frame count, etc.

Basically, you're not using transparent png's and you should be.

Save them as transparent png's

in Photoshop, this can be done via "Save for Web..." option

in Flash, this is done automatically

in older versions of paint, there's a "set Transparency" option

in other drawing programs, you'll probably have to ask someone else.

If you want to upload a zip with all your images in it, I'm sure someone here could fix the transparency fairly easily.

That's kinda good and all, i'll give you kudos fot that, but you forgot about the other stuff that you kinda forgot to look at

Make sure you look at them when you try and make it next time. Also, Is the letter rank a little off?

E=D, D=C, C=B, B=A, A=S and S=SH? I'll give them a redo while you look up on MY sprites that I have around the pages of this topic, so you can update them.

Overall, nice job, but did you snuck the sounds from the Elite Beat Osu! skin into it?

Yeah, this is the reason I REALLY don't want to get killed in the game.

Anyway, Since I saw the letter rankings on the revamped EBO and Taiko skins, I created the ranking sprites of my own!

But still, you should go and copy the sprites that you've overlooked...

Uh, that was a reference from the movie 'Stay Alive'. What I was talking about was avoiding getting killed in the Sonic the Hedgehog games.

Anywho, I got the ranking sprites, since you got the EBA and Taiko sprites in, If i didn't really know if you made the Taiko ones by scratch, but 31gabe want's to toss the E grade in like he wants to turn Osu! into DDR!

Ugh... Just tell me how AM I suppose to find Hamtaro sound bites for the countdown...

Record them from the TV show? If not, take the current ones, but tweak the pitch on them using an audio editor.

Also, to put words in LuigiHann's mouth: yeah he made the Taiko ones himself. And they're bitchin'.

I'm totally new to this stuff, but I'd suggest you download an emulator and a rom of a hamtaro game and record the sounds when you play using something like Total Recorder or something.

Well, there's rarely ANY hamtaro videos and I mannage to get 4 parts of the japanese Hamtaro birthday episode.

Well, about that, The birthday episode in the States was cut really short, because no one in the U.S. knows who Hamtaro's mother is, because the U.S. version cut Hamtaro's adventure to find his birthmother off.

Plus, I don't have a recorder...

Been loosely following your thread on the Hamtaro skin. I can't say I'm familiar with Hamtaro, though. I do think that your "ikuwayo" could do with some improvement, maybe use a proper japanese font instead of drawing/writing it yourself.

Well, I decided to change it from "ikuwayo" To the EBA "Are you ready" Type of begin countdown. Now to LuigiHann: This may remind you of the EBO skin type

The idea's right, but I'd strongly recommend you use a font for the "Are you ready?" so it doesn't look illegible and sloppy.

Normally, I'd completely object to the idea of sprites in a skin, but from what you've posted, It looks pretty well-made.

Well, the problem for me is now that osu! is getting more greater by the minute, that I'm having problems catching up.

Looks like I'll have to begin constructing on the following sprites:

X and XH
the ranking panel
the text

Looks like I got a whole lot of work to do on it... :?
