Yet the prime motivation for a mafia member, is to get someone other than themselves lynched. Following along with other's votes, setting a trend to get many people near lynch, and attempting to lynch off someone who can't respond or defend themselves, are all scummy and in my mind mafia tactics.strager wrote:

Normally you don't investigate a dead person because you already know their role.0_o wrote:

He views your attack as meaningless. Thus, he doesn't need to defend himself. No one is as paranoid about it as you, and he doesn't seem too threatened.Saturos-fangirl wrote:

I just realised that this is wrong, the mafia would want to kill a human during the day, not tie up the votes for a no lynch.Saturos-fangirl wrote:

waaaiit a second here. if two people are tied at the end of the day, there is no lynch.
i.e. no chance of lynching a mafia
i.e. free nightkill
just what are you up to, rust45? its not like this is a one time joke thing - youve done it a COUPLE times, trying to balance votes.

vote rust45 (NOT RANDOM)
Either way is advantageous for the Mafia. However, no-lynch gives less of an advantage than does lynching a Townie.adam2046 wrote:

That may be so. Realize though I've been on most of the L-2's (even the one against myself) and I don't think there has been an L-1.LadySuburu wrote:

1: The town's goal is to find the mafia. The mafia's goal is to get any townie lynched. Of course, the mafia also want to avoid detection, but they'll try to find any reason to get another lynched. The town, however, have the motivation of getting the mafia to NK them if they aren't an aux, or avoiding an NK if they are. Also, a true cop going against a contested claim (in a normal mafia game, where roles are revealed), will generally have the town lynch him first, to confirm his telling the truth (if not in LyLo). There is a difference between the roles, and it makes a difference in how others play.strager wrote:

(Note to self: write a proggie to parse private vote log to look at bandwaggoning.)
I can't really defend myself against your claims, though, as they are pretty convincing. However, I was just tossing in confusion to shake up the game a little so people would slip so we could have something substantial to go on for a lynch (see my last vote).

anyone who lays a fifth vote on that person is scum.
there are two scum and five nonscum.
therefore if we lose one nonscum and kill a scum in the process, things are good. if not, we dont lose the nonscum cus no one jumped on the bandwagon.
i am, of course, assuming we dont have any ASH's in here, based on the player lineup.
