People here used to want to make creative topics which were fun. They were fun because everyone else liked to be creative and participate in them if they weren't a solo project kind of thing.
Now, no one wants to do anything other than post 4 word quote responses to each other like they're sitting in #osu. As soon as someone makes something good, all of the retards post exactly like retards and it becomes ruined entirely when there is suddenly five pages of these posts because two or three people decided to start having a conversation.
The death of START POWER marked the death of OT. After that thread went to shit, no one wanted to do anything anymore because they had witnessed just how much people appreciated their efforts, and almost all of them have ultimately left.
Anyone wanting any proof should just look at the extent failboat had to go through just to ensure that idiots would not act like idiots with the osu!ville thread.

The community can make OT for any shred of a thought or of a lesser structured General discussion. To solve this, just do a poll. "Do you want "shitposting" to stop in OT?" Then depending on what y'all decide, you have to actually enforce it coercively. Otherwise, the poll and and a thread stating an opinion for the direction of either side of the argument, such as this, is useless as both sides will still exist pestering each other side.
Collectively better decide what you want for OT/ come to an agreement, then enforce said ideology.

Off-Topic even gets it's own little section because as soon as people see it they tend to instantly assume it's another /b/ or reddit.
