I haven't really been able to get any good gut feelings early on the past few games, mostly because I'm more busy than usual and I have a bunch of IRL crap that I always end up thinking about instead. >_> Plus, I've been trying to avoid gut voting a bit more recently, but seeing as doing so didn't work out at all in Two's mafia I might as well go back (actually by the end I had 3 of the mafia figured out, as well as JInxyjem by the start, but I didn't get a chance to post and the only reason I had was a gut feeling)
I'm not sure either why Two didn't roleclaim until after dkun died, but anyway, vote: NoHItter
Votals of China NoHItter - 6 - Two, Chris, Sync, Rantai, pieguy1372, bmin11 Chris - 1 - NoHItter
Once upon a time, we burned bright Now all we ever seem to do is fight On and on... And on and on and on...
Two deaths in a day, powerful songs at that. The Maestro would have perked up if he had any perks at all. He does congratulate the lot on managing to get along long enough to off someone.
NoHItter dies.
Yeah, naked truth lies only if you realize Appearing in nobody's eyes till they sterilize Stop the guerilla warfare to keep it fair
NoHItter was Reach out to the truth, a song from the Persona series. With a rather direct song, and a pretty well put-in-place means to transfer the lyrics into a mafia role, the Maestro in the end gave up on putting a clever twist to it; NoHItter was a townsided Odd-Night Cop, and is now dead and out of the game.
It is now Night Two. The deadline is Manic Monday, 8 PM GMT. Get your actions in by then.
Another day shows its face I'm half awake, half in space...
A second morning graces the songs, dreary-eyed and bitter. It can't help but pass some minds that waking up expectant of a dead body is not a healthy morning routine.
He’s mighty to the pulling down of every stronghold! He’s an awesome, incredible, invincible God!
Chris was Invincible God, by Martha Munizzi. A deified song only outclassed in its gargantuan benevolence and omnipotence by its rather brash vanity. Chris was a god among men in terms of song, and could focus his words to strengthen any other of his kin in heart. He was a Town Motivator.
It is now Day Three. The deadline is (Last) Friday Night, 8 PM GMT, upon which the lynch scene will occur.
Honestly I am not entirely confident with lynching too; the wording of the stuff he got was way too vague... but it's all we have at the moment. Vote Two Next vote is hammer I believe.
And I can't help but feel it's coming from you She's a gunshot bride with the trigger cries I just wonder what we've gotten ourselves into
Lightning again. This time canned. With no second to spare, another gunshot fills the air like the last day. The songs can but guess who shot, but the victim is unmistakable. Bleeding down on the floor, bmin11 clutches his chest as his eyes turn white. And he sings his final note.
Love will stop the rain, even without an umbrella
bmin11 was LeeSsang's In the Rain. Korean hiphop in its full glory, the combination of forceful voice and impressive lyrics about a loved one could have been called cliché, but he didn't mind. He was one of many, and didn't really care to stand out that much. He was a Vanilla Townie.
Soon bmin stopped singing, and then he stopped humming, and then he stopped bleeding and the songs were left with another carcass in their wake.
tbh I just thought that he was mafia and i saw his most recent post was basically trying to get nohitter to out the innocent person he had investigated.

triple post soz but this is fucking stupid
nohitter was fishy as hell and you know it. he should have shared the information with town.
unvote vote foulcoon being silly anti-town as fuck
I smell mafia amongst us. More specifically, people who aren't voting for foulcoon.
hasn't contributed anything and his first real post was how he shot bmin for no good reason. not to mention he called people out without giving any explanation
As of now I am still in for a Two lynch because he has successfully killed two of our investigative roles and is hardly defending himself (which is really weird for his town play, I remember him giving up like this when he was cultafia)
However that Chris shot is highly suspect. On the other hand Two wasn't quick hammered when he was at L-1 (I believe it was L-1?).
- I need to talk to some solicitors about a house, be back in a few hours to continue this if needed.
i feel like if two was mafia and he shot chris, he would just be asking to be lynched. if he were mafia, why wouldnt he leave chris alive so we would all lynch him (Chris) today?
or two is mafia AND retarded.
also quick hammer doesnt exist in this game, remember?
it's obvious he picked soulja boy - shoot niggas in tha daylight $$$ as his song
no but seriously all of you are suspicious as fuck to me
Mashley didn't even read the thread Foulcoon made a horrible move that was a serious detriment to town and you Rantai... remember Restaurant Mafia? I'm getting that tingly feeling. The same exact one. Just kidding. Everyone wants Two gone but I don't see a real reason why... it just seems like a few maf buddies teaming up to make him look bad...
Backfire did claim that he has a completely useless role (where he can't vote iirc?)
To be honest I wouldn't put it past Wojjan to give that to him out of spite.
pieguy is my other suspicion at the moment partly because of the shout out from Chris.
But really look at Two's play so far;
Day 1 - only voted and didn't say a thing. Night 1 - didn't die (this is completely speculation and up for interpretation) Day 2 - shot a claimed tracker, claimed that all investigative roles were anti-town, pushed a claimed cop lynch. Night 2 - Chris was shot Day 3 - not even attempting to defend himself opposed to actively scumhunt-retaliate
Day 1 - only voted and didn't say a thing. Night 1 - didn't die (this is completely speculation and up for interpretation)
I wonder why
Night 2 - Chris was shot
yeah didn't you just say that that made me lean town? why are you now trying to paint it a different way
Rantai wrote:

yes, my role is bullshit, and this could have been avoided if the watcher had just claimed to stop the nohitter lynch (if they weren't mafia then it would have been great for town for them to claim, since mafia would have to keep them alive)
And maybe we'll come back To earth, who can tell? I guess there is no one to blame We're leaving ground
The Final Votecount:
Two - 3 - Mashley, Rantai, Sync
Again, too much doubt stirred in the hearts of the songs. In the end, many settled on Two, but still wary of the others. Voices in their head clung to their minds like parasites, "what ifs" tearing down in particular.
One voice in particular got louder and louder...
And louder...
And the world won't wait For the truth upon a plate But we're ready now to feast On an atheist peace.
The lynch has been redirected by a powerful call to attention.
With ice in their hearts the songs lunged for Rantai. Not out of worry, but out of anger. He would be mafia, he has to be mafia...
He wasn't mafia.
Thanks for everything, God even if it was just a trick of fate
Rantai was Renai Circulation, opening to Ghostory. His lyrics were young love, slice of life and word of fate decided his melody. Rantai was about taking life as it comes and doing your best regardless of the circumstances, and as such he was a Vanilla Townie.
With them out of the way, three faces in the crowd (though six left wasn't much of one) lit up, eyes red as malice.
Immediately, pieguy1372 dove straight at Mashley, wings black in the twilit sky. Sinking his teeth into the man, pieguy feasted on his blood with the grace of a hailstorm. His meal was quick and swift, and if the others weren't momentarily occupied, they wouldn't even have been able to react.
Can't you see we need a hand In the navy Come on, protect the motherland In the navy
Mashley was In the Navy, by the Village People, his creator's jest lost on his naiveté. Patriotic through and through, Mashley would have gladly taken a bulllet for his fellow citizen and was as such a One-Shot Bulletproof Paladin, capable of taking his target's nightkill.
pieguy's bloodshot eyes glared at his companions. "I'll go on ahead. Leave no evidence." Like that, no minced words, the vampire flew from his den.
On this blackened night I cry to the moon that's up above. On these scarlet wings I fly like a dance in the night, a ballad of love
pieguy1372 was Priere, a remix of Remilia Scarlet's theme, and in essence embodied his proprietor. Twice in the game, pieguy could commit the kill and entirely decimate their target's body, leaving no trail of their death other than their absence. He was a Two-Shot Janitor for the Songfia.
In the mirror, time ticks back, tonight it doesn't tick at all. Stars like flowers start to blossom, dance until the moon is full!
Lilac was pieguy's first and only target. Sakkyun Light, a song by Sekken-Ya, it was ironic that the red vampire would kill off her own handmaid first thing. Lilac was a remix of Sakuya Izayoi's theme and, true to his origin, could stop time for one person at night; he was a Town Roleblocker.
Meanwhile, as life left poor Mashley, foulcoon saw his partner's intent, and quickly grabbed Backfire by his throat. "This... This will only hurt a little bit..." he muttered. foulcoon equipped his trademark rope, and tied Backfire a noose, tighter... and tighter... Until breathing escaped the man.
Backfire's final thought was "Funny. I expected more."
Living in this city, I get so bored Wanna kill myself on a telephone cord I guess we could go drive around What's the point in this town?
Backfire was Black Hole, a song by Be your own Pet. Faced with death, Backfire's pessimistic nature taught him to embrace it rather than fight it. Out of spite, he sought out death in the most fantastic way, hoping to meet his maker by the hands of a lynch. Backfire was a Jester, and while the Maestro was kind enough to conduct the engame into a poetic victory, he still loses his win condition of getting himself lynched.
foulcoon looks pleased, and sees his brethen struggling with the last of the lot. "I've never been good at cleanup. See you tonight." And the sadist left the scene.
Choke! On a kiss, I thought I'd save my breath for you Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm hanging on you Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm pulling for you now
foulcoon was Rope, by the Foo Fighters. He took his lyrics rather literal, manisting in him as an unhealthy bondage fetish, sadism as his calling card. Each night, he could sneak up on a song and chain it down, leaving them unable to act for the night. He played a Mafia Roleblocker.
"No, No! It couldn't be you, you were... You were town! You were The Long Drive!" Even this close to death, Two's knife at Sync's throat, still the man couldn't believe what played out in front of him. All the mistakes he made in trusting one man.
Two's grin was pointless to describe.
Yeah, Tell me what we’re fighting for No progress ever came from war Only a false sense of increase
Sync was Bad Religion's Atheist Peace. He had all the good intent in his actions, his lyrics as a guiding light in times of darkness, a callout on mistakes nobody could see. But his role as One-Shot Lynch Redirector turned out to doom his precious town's fate in the end.
And nobody saw it when Two cleaned up the bodies. Nobody smelled their rotting carcasses, left for the dogs. Nobody spoke of the day, no mouths left to sing from, and nobody heard when Two serenaded his ghost town. "It's all lies."
Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Two was Ironic, a song by Alanis Morisette. With whimsical lyrics and a skip in his step, Two was the most easygoing of all of the songs around. He had a calm composure, a meek smile, no daggers behind his eyes. It would only be Ironic for this kind figure to turn out to be mafia. Two was an Untrackable Godfather, impervious to investigations of any kind. He was also the Songfia's figurative patriarch, the Mafia Leader.
This is how the Songfia ends.

GAME OVER! SONGFIA WIN!
Kudos to Two for making effective use of his scum powers by asking me for a fake role PM and claiming setup sleuth. Antikudos to Chris for motivating scum two nights in a row and giving this game the shortest possible ending imaginable, sans a Fool+Scum jointwin last day were Sync to be already dead before then.
Mad props to everyone who helped me with the setup, and all the people playing, of course! This was a really fun game to host, and I'm a lot more confident in hosting now than after ||||||||'s burnout.
