Get Uncharted. Seriously, man. Especially since you played MGS4. As far as I know that's a 3rd person shooter? The platinum is pretty easy to get and the game's fun enough as it is.

Resistance 2 is great, but getting the Platinum takes freakin' months... 10,000 ranked kills in Competitive.

RE5, man. RE5. Unless you'd play alone most of the time... It's also lame without a headset.

Ok so I picked up Uncharted, Resistance 1 and Disgaea 3.

Uncharted is a fun platformer, expected from naughty dog I guess, with mediocre shooting (although I like the cover system.)
I <3 skill points

Resistance 1 so far is a mildly challenging shooter with fun weapons (as expected from Insomniac,) predictable cutscenes (both when they appear and what happens) and nice level design.

Disgaea 3 is awesome.
It blew my mind. Everyone needs this game.

Nharox can't get the DLC! Wasn't released in Germany. Dawn doesn't think it's worth it and EEeee doesn't even have the bloody game. So I think we're still the only two with the DLC. And why should it have come with the game? What was the last RE game with a Versus mode like this? Above and beyond the scope of the original game. Merc was barely a part of the main game. That was added very late into production, but there's been Merc in the last two RE games, so that makes sense. Versus had its own budget and the profits from that are counted seperately from the main games and all that. If the main game was already worth $60, which I think it is, having Versus mode in addition to that would just be overkill.

^ Yeah, most people will say that. I didn't even know the game was developed for PC when I bought it for PS3. I dunno if my computer can even run it smoothly though. It's still good on the PS3, but I'm sure it's better on the PC. Load times are faster, that's for sure.

RE5 is a fun game. But in all honesty, I find it difficult to say it's better than RE4. Still, great game, played it quite a bit, still not done with it. But this versus mode, don't you have to pay for it? I'm not going to shell out any more money for a game I already spent 80 bucks on.

I guess if you don't like multiplayer in general, which could be true with you, actually, since you don't do co-op. Oh why oh why don't you play co-op? D:

UNTIL NOW-yesterday. Skyripper and I are gonna run through it. Three oppositions to RE5: I already paid $80 CAD for the fucker. I'm not putting another penny into an already-overpriced game (RE4 was 30 bucks and arguably a better game). Two, RE5 doesn't seem like the type of game that even SHOULD be Versus. For a 3rd person shooter you move like a tractor-trailer with a camper hitched in the back. Three: pretty much the only game I play "competitively" (aka willing to play against another person) is Brawl (Melee back in the pre-Brawl days).

inFamous' demo is on the 21st, but OH SHIT! YEAH! I totally preordered it, so I think I can get the demo earlier? That was said somewhere. I thought... I guess not... I totally read that somewhere though. Oh well.

I wish I had preordered it from Best Buy now, cause if I did, I could've gotten an Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta thing. D:

I have Call of duty WAW, Burnout Paradise, Rockband/Rockband 2 (gotta have mah rhythm games).

The trophy(ies) I am currently aiming for are the rockband 2 challenge trophies which involve completing every in gmae challenge. My favourite instrument is guitar on expert but I also play drums on hard/expert.

I have 168 bronze, 30 silver, 7 gold, and 1 platinum for burnout paradise.

Disgaea 3 is probably the best game (that I've played) for PS3. 120 hours of enjoyment before it ran dry for me. Can't be bothered to get the Rank40 gear and defeat the LoC God Pirates. Also once LoC Baal's peons struck my level 50k Adell for 12 million damage I was like oh forget it.

Yeah, though dying can be pretty frustrating (and sudden), it's as if the developers acknowledged this and decided not to piss the player off further so they made the penalty for death mild.

If I ever see this game in a pawn shop or something for ~35 bucks I'm gonna snatch it up, since it's still actually good. It probably runs for 60 or 70 right now and after RE5 I said fuck high prices.

Almost done with The Warren as a Hero. I've been getting as many blast shards as I can. I wish there was a counter or something, cause it's gonna be really hard to get 100% if I don't know where to look. Also, I might've missed 5 permanently. I dunno if the mission shards count. One of the karmic choices was between saving some chick's brother or getting blast shards and I saved the bro and wasn't able to get the shards. Oh well.

I just got all the blast shards. The mission ones don't count towards your total. I just beat the game as a Hero, too. Working on a Hard inFamous run. Also, getting 100 High Falls is annoying.

I just can't get that into it. Like, I'll get the game, but I'm not excited about it. I wanna play Ghostbusters more. I like how the narrator said "impossible odds" when you're a motherfucking mini-Hulk/Vemon thing. I mean really. It's not that impossible. Oh, and for a city that's supposed to be ground zero and stuff like that, it doesn't look very different than a normal city. At all. Everything looks fine. I've got so many questions for that damn game, so I'm gonna need a demo soon.

Why would anyone ever take what a developer narrates seriously

one of the developers of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe said one of The Joker's attacks was "the coolest move of all time" and it was basically G&W's Forward-B attack from SSB(M/B).

Devil May Cry > Onimusha > Dynasty Warriors > God of War in my dictionary. I didn't like the controls, you just mash the buttons and don't know where are hell attacking.

So I beat inFamous again and I can say that the only thing about the ending that changes is the short epilogue after the credits, but it is quite different indeed. Also, the black/red lightning IS pretty bitchin'. Damn. Anyway, got the plat, so back to GTAIV to get some online trophies.

I have Onimusha 2, but I thought it was terrible. Tried giving it a couple chances, but just couldn't get into it because of how substandard it felt.

God of War's got a more traditional combo system than that of Devil May Cry - and in that it's more traditional, it's easier to understand. I find it unreasonable that you consider God of War to be a "button masher" that can't be predicted when Devil May Cry's actually trickier, since there's a timing element thrown into the mix (though there's only one or two "hit" buttons). They're both good games and involving in their own way. I just prefer God of War's unchained brutality more fun/enjoyable than Devil May Cry's boyish arrogance.

I just like bashing a door into a guy's face a dozen times, then kicking the door in with the guy's head still between the doors. That's just really hard to beat.

What I like in Onimusha and Devil May Cry, The lock-on and dodge system, the simple three directions roll that cancels the current attack, using single button to perform different combos with direction input for different attacks. No auto lock-on so you hit exactly where you mean to attack, and the attacks always come out the same, unlike Kratos dance with the twin swords and chains, one attack close range and next is a long shot and the one after it is a little less in range but wide AoE and next whoops switched target so the guy with 1HP gets annoying and hit you while you randomly hit the others.

Don't you hold a button to engage lock-on? I think that's how I had it set up.

Uncharted 2 beta is pretty sweet. I've only tried the co-op mission so far, but that was really cool. The matchmaking system is pretty nice and the gameplay is fucking slick for a game that doesn't come out until Fall. Quite challenging, too. The first match just had me and another guy and we got our asses kicked, but the second time had the proper group of three and we dominated, albeit with a few close calls.

Is it really? Who knew throw shit away could be so hard? I did read about some biodegradable stuff and crushing objects with bigger objects and stuff like that. I guess that would be hard.

I just borrowed uncharted from a friend, I just hate the huge amount of enemies spawning from everywhere. And its hard to headshot/hit the badies.

Uh, those two things sound really awesome. I enjoy a good challenge that actually require some semblance of skill to complete. It's worse in that Uncharted 2 co-op beta thing. Those guys come in groups in front of you, behind you, and occasionally right behind you, followed by them putting you in a headlock like little pricks. It's pretty intense. And I never had a problem with headshots...

Yeah, I noticed that it was an "adventure" game.

Dude, it's really hard to explain. It's like Nintendogs with a ton of physics engines and you control that kid and it's an adventure game and instead of a dog, it's a dog/cat/eagle thing called Trico. Or something.

Edit: The trailer had a lot of gameplay elements in it, but you might not have known that they were important, like throwing barrels into its mouth and stuff. I wanna see how you're supposed to keep Trico from running away when you want it to sit still...

I've been looking forward to "The Last Guardian" ever since they said Team ICO was making a game for the PS3. It was said at last years "eee" or GDC, or maybe a couple months after the release of the system, idk.
The game looks awesome, I enjoyed Ico, and SotC was even cooler, haven't played it in a while though, I played through both twice.
anywayz, is there a release date, or did they just slap 2010 on it?

eeedit: it would probably be an action/adventure puzzle game like the previous ones, I don't see a reason they would make a different kind of game.
