I guess the reason why BRA stays at the top for me is the notes. Its WTF-inducing notes make me play it again and again, while BRR is just something I can FC in 2-3 tries then never look at it again, unless I just wanted to play for the music. And this could be because I was influenced by listening to Bemani game music, but I thought BRR doesn't suit Taiko. :-/ (this coming from a person who thinks no Mai series & Red Rose suited taiko)

I'm moar for the music and I don't really give a shit about their charts(because like hell I would play higher-tier Oni songs)
I agree with BRR not really suitable for Taiko (though I did squee in how taiko finally gets a proper Xepher-style song)
It should get ported to IIDX.With a BGA drawn by MAYA.
And X-patterns/Zenoshi everywhere.

Yes you are missing a LOT.There's moar than 1000 Konmai Originals in PnM alone and over 950 in IIDX.
Of course there's some overlapping (songs being ported between the two) and some license songs mixed in
(usually PnM,IIDX is now pretty much all original songs),but not counting those there's still a lot.

Note that I didn't even mention DDR/GFDM/Jubeat/RB here.

The amount of songs I know accounts for less than one tenth of the total num of Konmai Originals out there,
go figure.
Which also shows that Taiko's gonna have a VERY hard time catching up in the originals department.
Every new release,Manco gives maybe a dozen new originals.IIDX and PnM?50-70.Holy shiiit.

Knowing what you said, it's gonna make it harder for me to venture into those games. Where do I even start... -_-;

At least the good thing is that I spend less money on trying out every single song out there. It's nice to have certain songs you can concentrate on. :roll: Plus I think Namco Originals, with some with lyrics, or traditional-modernized Japanese music, or techno stuff, isn't something that could be produced so easily. I don't mind them producing little at a time, as long as it has quality and an original feature.

You know,Taiko could do with moar artists.MANY MOAR.
After all,that's one of the reasons why Konmai can easily churn out so many originals (not all of them are Crowning Music of Awesome material,but most of them are of good quality)

@Axelhino Once every year or so,I think.Though some get new releases quicker than others

They're simply doing it in sequence; the next console release (that isn't the Wii because PnMWii is horrible) should be based off of 17...

The reason why is because 17 has three songs I really, really want to try. The aforementioned Elebits songs (The Smile of You and Infinity of our Love) and Ongaku. Just one more version......asdfghjkl

16 has Toy Contemporary but then that's it (doesn't know why he wants to try crazy songs when he's still a PnM noob)

And yes the stupid Adventure mode is a freaking DRAG at this point....I'm already at the World of Nothing and yet still feel nowhere near the end. All I wanted was to unlock Niente, jesus. (of course I have other favorites but that's besides the point)

Also do note that the song has 3 versions: N (5,7,9), H(5H,7H,9H) and EX (EX). IIRC Shounen Radio actually released a full version of the song using all 3 of those

Well technically every song you have to play is a boss song, but the final song would be neu.

...PnMPSP1's adventure mode is horrible in that it basically forces you to play 5 buttons every freaking time to finish the entire game :/

Part of my crazy daydreams involve Taiko new AC turning into taikomania IIDX15 for a day during April fool's,

If next year's April Fools doesn't officially involve 76573…I propose that during that day Taiko Time

On 5 buttons it's a pushover
On 7 buttons it's a reasonable challenge
On 9 buttons it'll take some practice
On EX difficulty it's fucking impossible

@Axel: depending on how long you've been playing, I guess?

For one thing I started with 9 buttons straight up so I can't say for sure. I now play 9H and some lower-tier EX... actually some 9H is still a bit difficult for me so I play on 9 for those
And PSP controls for PnM is retarded so orz...

Went through months with taiko.
Jumped straight into oni on the psp when I unlocked it. Got gold crowns all around except for kita sai.

I only played for 1 week...with a 5 day interval between 2 days orz...damn limitations. I can only play video games in the weekends or holidays, but that doesn't count for the wii though :>

Don't forget it's on the AC,which makes it either easier or moar difficult depending on whether you play AC or PSP first.
Meanwhile neu 5 buttons on the AC is only lv 12,with a shitEASSSSYYYY chart

I think it would be a lot easier on AC since the PSP's buttons are bullshit for PnM. I mean how the hell can you do things like this without AC ._.

Exactly; PSP controls are retarded; you can't hit anything on the right with your left hand or the left with your right hand, etc

And to think that the charts are almost basically recycled from AC so you can't really find PSP exclusive patterns lol

Though the last pattern for 3·2·1→Smile! (LWhite-LYellow-LBlue-RBlue-RYellow-RWhite) is so retarded even on the PSP; not sure IIRC but on AC it's actually LYellow-LGreen-LBlue-RBlue-RGreen-RYellow or something or w/e

I finally got around to getting the MP3s of Wii4

-Momoiro Taiko Paradise is obligatory; all of the CS themes so far have been to my preference, but this is probably my favorite of all the Wii themes...
-Blue Rose Ruin is pretty OK, deserves a spot in my player at least
-Lightning Passion; for the life of me I still don't know the name of the instrument that gives the melody of this song. I hear it in many of the songs I like and is the primary reason why I like this song. Not Mirai influenced I swear
-dance storm... pretty uplifting song. It'll also help me to understand that big note spam at the end of the Ura too. This definitely perks my ears.
-MY MINE. GOD DAMN THIS SONG WHY IS IT SO AWESOME I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT MYSELF GUYS. Out of the new Wii4 originals this is probably my favorite.
-Dadakko Monster. Pretty tame song, I like it. Very much.
-Danba Danba Din Dan. Closet ex-YMCK fan here, so yeah
-Itoshi no Miru-sama. Can't point out exactly why I like it.

Tempted to finish an SB for Momoiro Taiko Paradise before finishing the WRI difficulties...

I said I was gonna do this, but I never got around to doing so. Sorry.
Once the semester is finally done, I can get back to actually doing things. Now I can't, since it's basically finals season. I can't even play Wii 4 right now.
