@aqua: I already tried calibration. It just makes things worse and more confusing than it already is. It's not my tatacon that's the problem. Like I already said, this only happens when I play with 480p. 480i is perfectly fine to me in terms of latency.

And, I wasn't trying to troubleshoot my problem here. I was just asking about how the new arcade would handle this issue if they started using HD. (since we're referring to it as 'TaikoHD')

Exact steps, huh...

All my videos except for the first two RJL ones have borders on them. I'd have to experiment to see how I got rid of the borders on the first two videos, since it's been so long (I don't remember anymore).

EDIT: Looking at my uploads, it seems that the ones without borders use 480x360 resolution with an aspect ratio of 4:3. The ones that have borders use 490x360. Try that out first and see if it works or not.

I really think that the resolution and aspect ratio are the only two things that can determine whether or not youtube puts a border on a video.

Been working on this the entire afternoon with my dad, woohoo



It's been 10 years since we last mounted a dance pad on plywood. This time, we mounted a GameCube dance pad so I can use it for the DDR games on the Wii. An awesome version is coming out this October 11

It's almost the same as how I mounted my PSX/2 dance pad back in 2001.



Of course the most time consuming part was the woodwork. There's some extra piece of plywood in the garage so we got 2 1m x 1m pieces using a Crosscut Saw (bad idea, worst saw ever for plywood), stuck them together (using 29357023985 adhesives), sandpapering the crap out of it, packaging tape everywhere, and finally mounting the pad. The pad is stapled with... a stapler, to the board. Much as it sounds silly, it's actually really sturdy. Very thick plastic cover was used to cover the pad and the wood. And there we go.

The 10 year old PSX/2 pad actually has its staplers over both the plastic cover AND the pad. For some reason IDK what my dad was thinking but it wasn't the case this time.

Oh well, I can't wait...

I noticed my own typo before you did. I was just too lazy to edit since I was on an iPod before.

And USBLoader allows you to play Wii ISOs via USB (as the name suggests). So you can hook up an HDD via USB and play from it.

Tsukikage isn't a problem; Tsukikage just has this horrible early offset that makes it frustrating to get a good score at
