Hi so I hear a lot of the nerd goody players use tablets? Is there a certain kind that works best on osu? If not is there one that is preferable, or the "best"?

I don't know much about tablets, and don't worry about price. Let's just pretend my budget is 9000 dollars.

too bad, all the best osu tablet equipment are OVER 9000! jk

osu! doesn't require any sort of special features except moving the mouse around, so you don't need an expensive tablet just for osu! Like i just got a $60ish Bamboo Tablet and it works perfectly for osu. And when I'm bored, i also go play around it sometimes and draw random stuff cuz it's just entertaining lol.

Also, just cuz many pros use tablet doesn't mean it's better. I bought a tablet, cuz mostly there's certain things and habits I have with my mouse that just seem to screw me over as a mouse player and also cuz tablet seemed more awesome and fun, and so I bought my tablet like a month ago.

If you have a lot of money to spare, you can always just try a tablet and see how it feels i guess.

Right but I meant size, I mean would I need a bigger one because it's osu!.. or what?

You'd rather need a smaller one for osu! only.

The bamboo is cheap and versatile enough, if you are getting a tablet and don't know shit about digital painting anyhow, then get that.

Anne Frank uses a bamboo.

Anne Frank was cutting edge as hell, she also had a blinged out grill before everyone else too.

I bought a Wacom Bamboo and I don't use it at all because it's too difficult.

No.

Get the "pen only" or "pen and touch" version.

The pen and touch version isn't more useful then just the pen, it might just be more comfortable if you prefer using your computer through a trackpad system. Not sure about whether or not you can disable the touch compability. If not, then I personally wouldn't get it.

But i haven't even tried the pen and touch, only the pen, so don't completely base your choice on my opinion.

You can disable the touch feature, which I did about a minute after plugging it in for the first time since it's completely useless, get the pen one.

It's a matter of get used to it or not.
I got a bamboo pen only and after some practice and adjusts (less than I expected) it's better (faar better) than my mouse to play osu!, but to other games/windows I feel better using the mouse, but there's ppl who play better with a good mouse.
If you know someone with a tablet ask to test it, or if it's not a problem, you can buy one to test.

Ive had a wacom bamboo fun tablet for photoshop, illustrator and the occasional sketch but i could never play osu with it. Think it came more to me already being somewhat decent from playing lots of FPS/RTS but after playing osu with a mouse for 9 months i still think theres a point where it probably isnt the best way, but im continuously getting better and i dont feel like i need to swap to a tablet at all.
Pure mouse player btw, dont get how people use a keyboard to play this game ><

Y'know, you're funny. You can't really use those measurements for anything other than pretty numbers on paper, since manufacturers all have different ways of measuring them. For example, monitors being measured by grey-to-grey response times WILL get "better" results than monitors being measured with black-to-white response times, and for as long as this isn't specified, it's an entirely useless number that you probably won't see any difference in anyway.

I have the exact same tablet, if your's is pen and touch as well. As a cg artist i of course use a tablet, and tried to play play osu on it. it is really difficult, IF you are using the whole tablet. i set my tablet to about 1/10 surface when i play osu, and is doing far better than using mouse. though people have their preferences... xDDDD
