Is there anyway to control the speed of the slow mod? Or just a way to control the speed that a map plays in osu!Taiko? Kind of like in Taikojirou where you can go to the config file and type in exactly how fast or slow you want the sim to run?

And do any of you (and specifically crystal for obvious reasons) know where I can get my hands on a JKOC? I've been searching for a while now and all I see are USKOCs, which would be fine, except for the fact that it has stability issues outside of PS/PS2 use.

@Ozzy FYI it's only available in the Japanese app store,because
we all know how "smart" Konmai can be.
There's also Jukebeat I think,but I can't find it in the HK app store

Yes. I no longer have a PS2. And sadly, my PS3 is the newer variant (the ones that no longer play PS2 games). So I have no actual console use for it. I was planning on using it on sims and emulators instead.

I'll get to posting my Timezone crap sometime else... But here's a quick breakdown:

-Nothing changed in there except that they took out the retro section... Pnm3 along with it -_____________-
-The guys that put 128712 credits on the DDRX2 machine weren't there, yey

-573's offset on Polyrhythm is horribly early
-I was looking for .59 in the 'T' section for 30 seconds. >_>
-I got a cramps in the middle of playing she is my wife. I can still feel it right now
-And in a matter of 2 seconds I hit 3 parts of my body hard on the cabinet due to me flinching from the cramps

The lower part of the blog post is an introduction to the aforementioned new Namco Original by YMY, who have also made Don Engasu no Fuefuki and Desert de Yakiniku (Sahara-hen). Zastohl no Madousho will have the same Arabian style as the latter song, but instead of being 'Arabian rock', it is now 'Arabian techno'.

And then some fantasy thinking by the composer about the identity of Zastohl and how his book of magic (that's Madousho in English) came to be one of the hidden jewels of the desert...or something.

Anyway, these five songs will be up on PSN by September 7, 2011. Look forward to them!

Etude Op.10-4 hates me in every way

For one thing, it took me more than a day to FC the non-Ura in the Wii

Now I'm STILL playing the Ura for around 2 hours straight now and I still haven't FC'd it. Bah.

I FINALLY got the deathstream right, but now every other part of the chart is becoming problematic for me. Muscle memory being a dick, basically.

I hate our govenment. Due to strict restriction of Korean government, Jubeat Copious won't be availble at least until mid~end of October in Korea. According to our law, all games in Korea should be 'previewed' by so called 'Game Rating Board', before launching the game.

Korean people are quite raging thesedays due to damn restrictions to those cultural features including Musics, Animations, Games, whatsoever. It's my personal thoughts but there might be some far-right Christian fundamentalists behind this...

Oh, and for Taiko, I hope there would be nice Taiko AC machine in Korea, hmm. Almost all of them are somewhat broken.

@anongos: There are some kind of rating boards in other countries like Japan, but ours are run by government and enforced by law and full of stupid moralists and famous for being extremely slow. Oh, and it applies to every games in Korea including PC games, consol games, arcade games, flash games, fan made games, indie games etc. Even if you are a 10 years old kid and made an extremely simple game for your friends, that should be previewed. Of course, those 'previewing' costs a lot. And this is the reason that we don't have 'game' category in Apple's appstore.

Yeah, even demo should be previewed. Good way to avoid this is simply do not officially launch the game in Korea. Well, Koreans still can buy games from overseas market, lol

Oh and this is one example that shows how the board running by government is stupid. This is the story of a poor programmer that he couldn't make a game due to a roof of an apartment where he lived.
1. A game programmer wanted to make a new game, so he made a game. Then he needed to submit the game to Game Rating Board to get rated.
2. In order to submit the game he must register a webpage of the board, but in order to register, you need to get a 'public key certificate'. Ordinary ones that is used in some work like internet banking won't work for this. He needed 'public key certificate for game'.
3. He needed to visit the company that can give him a certification.
4. After checking a few things, employee of the company said 'check your e-mail to get a certificate'.
5. He tried to register the website again, but he failed. He should get another authentication and should send some fax to some other company for some reason.
6. Every stage of registering required several certifications, authentications, signets, etc.
7. He even had to pay KRW 60000(=USD 50~60) to pass those things. No one told him about this payment before.
8. Now he needed 'certificate for game producers'. But this certificate can be printed only once. No network printing available and you have to use colour printer.
9. Next he should visit district office to report that 'I am making a game'.
10. After 3 days, the report was denied since roof of parking lot of an apartment he lived was 'illegal'. In order to pass, the roof should be removed or someone should pay fine for that.

And there are some parts where it does seem like you didn't know what you wanted to put, lol

Now about the kiai; listening to the piano channel, I don't think it's inappropriate. It's definitely hard for me though; osu!Taiko this big difficulty cap of having a smaller scroll. Not to mention I haven't played osu!Taiko in a long time.

So yeah, I'm OK with the map. I doubt I can FC it without taking it seriously though.

To me,I'd rather go with the flow and map naturally.
I'd just let the song's rhythm and melody determine the
patterns

If I make a taikomap just for the sake of creating a batshit
difficult map,I'll end up with a shitty map with patterns that
don't even fit the rhythm *coughNagekinoKicough*

Hm... when I make a custom Taiko map, a large portion of my sequence choices is actually affected by my Pop'nSense, while the patterns are majorly from TaikoSense. With that, I can at least assure that I'm putting notes on instruments most of the time lol

So kiai part is overmapped then. As for the part before the slowdown, I guess I went with a lot of dons is because the first part of that was full of kats. I guess I was subconsciously trying it balance it out. As far as mapping style, whenever I make a map, I try to match it to either the drums or the major instrument at the time (whichever depends on the situation). The piano during the kiai part was quite complex, so that probably influenced my decision to make the patterns random; kind of like lepi's chart for Mei.

@yuan: I wasn't actually going for a firce style map. If I was, that would be MUCH MORE difficult than it is right now.

Off-topic: IDK why, but I'm in some sort of an IIDX kick right now. I feel like buying all the CS games just for the hell of it.

EDIT: Yeah, it depends on the song. Some warrant a crazy chart to match the feel of the song. Others make crazy charts feel silly instead.

Hm... guys, there's this one dude over at GCC that likes to request a BG or something (for an osu! map that he's still not telling me which song it is)

Basically it's winter themed, and it has Ai-chan (Koibumi) and Yuki (Senpuu-Blue) in it, holding hands together and just walking in some direction. Actually, winter-night themed, to be more precise

This will be his first map so I don't really trust him on this, but anyone using a chibianthro BG is fine by me... especially a pair that I ship :D . I'm still wondering what song he's going to use though >_>

P.S. apparently it's not a 765 original

Hm, the only ideas I can get for a winter-themed background is the typical SNOW GOOSE, SNOW EVERYWHERE scheme. And since it's a winter-night it'll be something like, walking on the streetside with the night lights open or smth like that, and moar snow everywhere
