That reminds me, I have to seriously start on that sb. Cause....yeah.OzzyOzrock wrote:
But I seriously didn't know you could draw. That explains how you say that you'd have to draw the dons in your SB.

On a serious note: This is offtopic what the hell did you expect; everyone acts like an asstard around here.
If not everyone, most everyone.

Nice drawing BTW.
The face is too round. It makes her look like she's very young, but she's an adult.Nazeko wrote:

It's a wip though.. I wanna share it
I don't know how to draw at all. I can just point out errors on people's drawings.Nazeko wrote:
still learning how to draw properly, you guys helped me a lot.
dammit a friend of mine's drawn something that looked incredible in paint just to illustrate (mind the pun) how an artist is not defined by his/her toolsOdaril wrote:
Don't use paint for drawings unless pixelart.
Instruments in general are exceedingly annoying to draw - drawing a violin in perspective is an exercise in patience, and drawing a reflective saxophone in perspective is an exercise in sanity.Odaril wrote:
EDIT: I'll try drawing a violin myself, it looks seriously hard to do. But I don't have a scanner, so I will only be capable of taking an awful webcam picture.

That sort of thing bugs me a bit in anime. If you want to keep the effect without it being weird as hell, try making the hair over the eye slightly transparent.Beuchi-chan wrote:

But that's what bothers me in anime! What do, Jar? T_TJarby wrote:

It annoys me too, but it isn't as freaky as having the opaque eye over the hair.Lilac wrote:

If you has a smart phone there is an app to make it into a scanner which works surprisingly well, I use it on occasion. Just a btw.Teta wrote:

Well, in my honest opinion, that's the worst way to practice.hikari_eniza wrote:

Let us see your drawings and progress without any sort of copying, reference, or tracing and we'll see whether your statement is moot or not.Firo Prochainezo wrote:

Go draw something of your own.
You don't need to be a good artist to realize something simple as that.Vext wrote:

You're claiming that anime/manga is hard to draw without a reference? You don't even need to follow any valid anatomy and proportions, the fanbase is too stupid to notice as long as its "kawaii W_W" and whatnot.Vext wrote:

While I find this to be true for a large part of the fanbase, it's worth noting that artistic perfection isn't necessarily the goal of many people. If you really do want to get better at your art, then yes, real life figure studies and forays into the realms of artistic theory are important, but a lot of the people who draw anime without strictly adhering to certain artistic rules aren't doing it strictly to study art - they're doing it for the sake of having fun with it.failboat wrote:

Using a reference and copying/tracing are two very different things.Vext wrote:
