what is dumb thread time?
it is when shitposts just flow in OT for no apparent reason, somehow this "dumb thread time" is actually a phenomenon for real and if you notice it and put some observation into this phenomenon you can see that it usually happens around 4 to 5 PM UTC and lasts about an hour. these are the phenomena that make up this event; first there is an influx of new threads. whether they consist of effort or not, there just is an increase in thread creation rate, which, is quite common in OT however you should also take into consideration that there are not that many thread creations in a day at OT. well, this step of the dumb thread hour is probably due to the active members' timezones and many shitposters being active during this time which isn't a big surprise. the creation of threads is soon followed by Flanster entering the realms of OT. he is also the one who has first founded this phenomenon and named it as "dumb thread time". it is likely he has been aware of this phenomenon for a long time as he first casually mentioned that the rate of shitposting was high during a specific time span. i can assume that this most likely happens in other forums as well. but, this phenomenon is unique to OT in the sense that as soon as Flanster enters OT and notices this shit trend, he starts cleaning up the mess. crap goes to the bin and others he decides to lock or spare. he is like the chara of OT, i think we could say. (undertale references pls no referring to this game again thx it will ruin my life) after this rigorous clean up, the dumb thread time is over and OT is filled with Flanster's lock memes and rioting that declares war against dictatorship.
