So we see many issues with the current std scoring method. Let's admit it: combo is frustrating and getting an FC at your holy grail map seems impossible. So I propose the following:
Scores will be split into the following: 0, 100, 200, 500, and -666. Why -666? Because the devil said so. Now, every note will be will be worth the same, but every 100th note will double your score if you hit with your left finger instead of right. In order to make hitting keys during breaks fun, players would also get a tenth of a hundredth of maybe a tenth of a point for spamming buttons like crazy. Slider breaks will now make sliders wiggle and try to put the slider body back where the mouse is. However, if you sill manage to slider break after that, the devil will show up and give you the -666 multiplied by the number of notes you got 100 on. Failing a map now requires you to get 6 consecutive -666 scores. To pass a map, you will need to get no less than zero 100's. And finally spinner will give 200 points for every change of spinning direction after hitting 350 RPM.
Now the mods. DT will give double, no triple the number of 100's you get. Hardrock will half the number of 200's you get. Flashlight will make a new type of score seen: 123. Combine it with the power of 100 and 200 to get a special score powerup of 423 while the 10 second timer doesn't run out. Now we all know how you like those them points. So I suggest opening up a store to by points. $1 will convert all your 100 scores to 200. $10 will convert all your 100's and 200's into 423's. And finally $50 lets you get 500's on every slider tick.
