Hi there, coming from your request in my Modding Q

[General]
  1. Active/Passive hitsounding is somewhat of an issue here, but something that really bugged me on some diffs was, that some downbeats (white big ticks) were either not mapped or mapped with a slider-end. Imo, downbeats should always be mapped with either a circle or a slider (start/head!) and NC'd if necessary
  2. Spacing things evenly so that they dont touch is also a nice thing to have imo :<
  3. Is this actually the title of this song?

  1. 00:06:903 (1) - How about rotating this one towards the left, blanketing 00:08:229 (2) - and then creating a blanket for, and an overlap with 00:09:555 (3) - ? Would feel more flowy for sure
  2. 00:20:163 (1,2) - I thought I'd point this out, Iam not really a fan of halfblankets going over into a straight slider. How about curving 2 a little bit? Down ofc
  3. 00:29:279 (2,3,4,5) - the flow of this feels rather weird, as the player has to move his/her mouse down, then move up to go down again, again and again. I'd prefer if there would be more flow in it
  4. 00:42:704 (2) - resnap (ends on blue tick)
  5. 00:49:334 (5,6) - have 6 blanket 5
  6. 00:54:638 (3,4) - 3 blanket 4

  1. AIMod points out a discrepancy between difficulties regarding letterbox in breaks. Intended?

  1. 00:04:251 (3) - Assuming you have grid level 4, move this 1 small square down.
  2. 00:05:577 (4,5) - These two with 3 don't make a perfect triangle, which they could. Also, they're kind of hidden behind 3, doesn't look good to me :\
  3. 00:06:903 (1) - Why not make the curve the same as in 00:08:229 (2)?
  4. 00:08:229 (2) - Fix your blanket
  5. 00:21:489 (1) - Seems like a random NC to me. Remove it and place it on 00:22:815 (2) instead.
  6. 00:25:467 (5) - Use it to blanket 4, what a waste!
  7. 00:26:793 (6) - Should ideally be at (60|340).
  8. 00:27:622 (7) - Not sure if this pattern is adviseable in an Easy difficulty.

  1. 00:05:577 (3) - I'd prefer if you rotated this clockwise, just to avoid making the player finishing the slider, then moving down for four and then going back up. By rotating, you can make the cursor just flow through 3, 4 and 5 more easily.
  2. 00:12:207 (1,2,3,4,5) - It feels a bit too piled up to me, with all those overlaps. Try this:

    For 4 and 5
  3. 00:18:837 (3,4) - You can probably rotate this a bit more, as well. It's not as relevant as 00:05:577 (3) and you can leave it as is, but it just feels better to me if you don't have to move your cursor in another direction so suddenly and when you can make it not have to.
  4. 00:29:445 (3) - From what I can tell, this object is rotated in order to make that pattern with 00:28:119 (1,2). But to me, it'd feel better if it wasn't so rotated, for the reason stated above. It's also a preference, so don't do it if you don't feel like you have to.
  5. 00:51:323 (1,3) - You should make either of them the same as the other. I mean, make either 1 a copy of 3 or 3 a copy of 1. it'll feel like 2 could be a symmetry point, and it'll look good. If you choose to use it, you'll have to move around objects a bit to do it perfectly though.
  6. 01:13:367 (1) - This spinner might be a bit too fast for a normal difficulty. I don't have any suggestions, though, so you can keep it unless someone else says the same I guess.
  7. 01:17:511 (2) - Place this circle at (52|244), else it'd make the cursor yet again have to move in opposite directions.
  8. 01:14:859 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - On a second look at this part, you could probably straighten up that huge slider, in a way that allows you to make 01:17:843 (3) - a small-sized, inverted slider of it. Something like this: Straightening things up after that, you can try the same at 01:18:837 (2,4): After that, it's just cleaning up.
  9. Last thing I'd have to point is that you could use a couple claps, here and there.
[Hard]

  1. 00:04:914 (3,4,1) - This is not a perfect triangle! I don't know if it was intended to NOT be one, but it sure would look good if it was. Anyway, move 00:05:412 (4) to (244|196).
  2. 00:07:898 (3) - Might look better if the curve was inverted. Try it.
  3. 00:08:727 (2,3,4) - The distance between 1 and 2 is the same, while the distance between 2 and 3 is also the same. Except 1 to 2 is 1/2, and 2/3 is 1/1.
    It's a big distance, and not THAT confusing. But while at it, you could use 00:09:058 (3,4) - and put it around (268|220). It'll be a longer distance from 00:08:727 (2), AND it will be in the middle of both objects. Not to mention that same position might origin a blanket with 00:09:555 (1) if you're willing to readjust it a bit.
  4. 00:14:030 (3,4) - This pattern is fine... as long as you rotate it clockwise. It'll readjust 4's curve and make it flow into 00:14:859 (1) 's head, not to its slider itself.
  5. 00:15:854 (2) - I feel like this only belongs here if you place it around (200|160). It'll require some readjusting for the following objects.
  6. 00:21:489 (4) - Rotate this counter-clockwise, make it look like this: Also, make sure it's at (184|280). Then, 00:22:152 (6) should go into (148|168). Should look like two triangles sharing 00:21:489 (4,5), neat.
  7. 00:33:423 (5) - Not sure why a circle is missing here. Place it~
  8. 00:49:003 (3) - Curve this slightly
  9. 00:51:323 (6) - This could be just a normal 1/1 slider to me. There is a beat in the red tick, but from what I can see your sliders are based on vocals mostly, so it could kind of fit.

  2. 00:05:577 (4,5) - Please remove these claps since they don't fit with the instruments. Generally, you should only add claps on the objects that are on the second and fourth white tick of every stanza. (Applies to similar cases.)

    Well uh, I'm afraid that I can't mod this further since I'll just suggest everything following my mapping style, but remember: Make your combo pattern consistent in length (adding one NC every two stanzas, for example), try to listen the instruments before putting hitsounds, and just generally make patterns that are aesthetically pleasing (for example, you can try to make 00:30:771 (4,5) symmetrical/to have the same shape, and move 01:02:594 (1) to (412,256) so the pattern will look neater). I can't really teach anything since I'm not a mentor type of person, but you get what I mean. Also make sure to get the spacing consistent since this is an Easy diff. This map can still be improved; just try to get more mods!

  4. 00:41:379 (1,2,3,4,5) - This just... looks very unstructured in general IMO. Also, the spacing is very different from what you use in the entire map, which makes this part feel unnatural to play. Maybe remap this section with something that fits with the rest of the diff?
  5. 00:50:992 - Add a note? The instrument here is very loud and noticeable, you know...
  6. 00:56:959 (7,1) - Just wanting to say that the blanket can be improved, and you should try to make 00:56:627 (6) not overlap (1)'s tail.
  7. 01:09:390 (5,6,7,1) - Same problem as the suggestion above and 00:08:229 (1,2,3,4). This pattern is confusing and the blanket can be made better.

    It's a big distance, and not THAT confusing. But while at it, you could use 00:09:058 (3,4) - and put it around (268|220). It'll be a longer distance from 00:08:727 (2), AND it will be in the middle of both objects. Not to mention that same position might origin a blanket with 00:09:555 (1) if you're willing to readjust it a bit. Fixed in my own way
  4. 00:14:030 (3,4) - This pattern is fine... as long as you rotate it clockwise. It'll readjust 4's curve and make it flow into 00:14:859 (1) 's head, not to its slider itself. Fixed
  5. 00:15:854 (2) - I feel like this only belongs here if you place it around (200|160). It'll require some readjusting for the following objects. Moved

  1. The claps in the beginning (00:04:583 - like this one and so on) sound rather unfiitting. Insatead of them, I would suggest using drum-hitnormal for such beats. It matches better with the instruments and sounds pretty cool.
    Note: probably you should also reduce the volume a bit, they sound too loud, imo. Hitsound in general are too loud, imo, sometimes it's hard to hear music because of the hitsounds.
  2. It is pretty weird to see a short anime-song without video. If it is possible, could you try to find one? Since it's the ending-theme, it shouldn't take too much time.
  3. Please, disable letterboxing since you have no breaks in the diffs. Also, disable the widescreen support, you have no widescreen SB nor 16:9 BG.
  4. 01:26:316 (1) - instead of muting the spinner, you could place a soft-hitwhistle here. It would match much better with the music.

  1. AR8 does not match well with your low Slider Velocity and feel forced here. I'd go with 7 or 7,5.
  2. 00:04:914 (3,4,1) - the x2,0 DS here feels a bit out of place. I'd rather keep DS lower here since the part feels pretty calm and does not requitre any jumps.
  3. 00:14:859 (1) - the drum here sounds like an echo or something, but it feels empty when you ignore it. Try to map it, please.
  4. 00:26:793 (5) - minor - I do not really like how the slider flows, but I think that you can improve it by using Ctrl + G on ths slider.
    Note: pretty much the same applies to 00:26:793 (5) - they have a vry similar sound.
  5. 00:26:793 (5) - whoops, looks like you have missed a new combo here. Check it out, there should be a new combo to point out the drums, dont you think so?
  6. 00:33:920 (6) - try to place a circle here. It feels to have an inconsitent 3/2 rhythm here. The fact, that we can clearly hear a vrey strong beat here makes it even more confusing.
  7. 00:50:660 (5) - another missed new combo? I think that would be great to have a new combo here, this way we'll be able to emphasize the music changes.
  8. 01:18:091 (2,3) - it is the only 1/4 pattern in the whole diff. I highly recommend you to remove the circle at 01:18:091 (2) - since it is off your patterns and looks out of this diff. also players don't expect it to be here and it is really confusing for them.
  9. 01:23:478 (3,1) - the spacing between these two feels random, try to incrase it to make it look more readable or stack them. Either wway would be good.

    Rhythmwise it is okay, but the whole diff looks a bit messy and all the spacing changes make it kinda uncomfortable to read. Just try to clean it up and check the spacing, a few more mods and it will be a nice diff. By the way, I liked the idea of using low slider velocity, somehow, it feels nice while playing.
[Insane]
  1. 00:05:826 (2) - please, try to avoid ovremapping. As a rule overmapped patterns sound and feel out of place and are not necessary.
    Note: unfortunately, this is not the only overlapped pattern in the diff. I highly suggst you checking the diff on your own with 25% playback rate, you'll be able to spot quite a few of overmapped objects.
  2. 00:09:555 (2,3,4,1) - the spacing changes in the diff are made in a very confusing way. You start to reduce spacing and then sudenly there's a pretty big jump. After this you combine a stream and antijumps 00:11:875 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - and it is even ore confusing simce players may misread the low-spacing part as a compressed stream.
  3. 00:18:506 (6,1,2) - using high DS in calm parts makes players feel weird due to disbalance in gameplay. Each time players hold a slider, they have to move about 2 times slower or even more, which leaves a feeling of discomfot and does not represent the music. Please, understand, that we should follow distance snap and use reasonable spacing values to make the diff playable. Obviously, this applies to 00:22:815 (3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - this part and a lot of similar patterns.

    Try to use higher slider velocity or reduce distance snap to reasonable values. Either way, I would recommend you to get more opinions on this diff because it feels way too choppy, and does not follow the song, imo.
The mapset in general needs a lot of work. You should get more opinions on Insane diff and pay more attention to Normal-Hard, as well. You're going in a right direction, bt there're a lot of things to improve.
