[resolved] osu! creates new db file after each exit.

Problem Details:
Since yesterdays update osu! just creates backup databases after each exit.


I also noticed this in osu!.db (with is also new)

Is this really supposed to be saved in such way?

I've tested this on a fresh osu install- same thing happens:


osu! version: 20140609.14 (latest)

Same thing happens here sometimes

But I think it some sort of backup done while updating beatmap index, and sometimes something happens that don't lets deletion of the backup.
That's just a theory tho.

Cannot replicate on fresh install. No, they should not look like that. Something on your system is verrrrrrrrrry fucked.

In the first post I've just updated old osu version(like 2 months old) and it was spilling backup db's
Now what I did just now:
-created new folder
-ran osume in it
-got some beatmaps(via osu!direct)
-restarted few times

and no duplicates, but file is still fucked up :|

Checked with a hex editor, here's my osu!.db file:


I found that this happens also for other users since on osu!Post people found some issues too.

Seems to be fixed for me(Don't know about others) on fresh osu! (will have to delete and refresh database in my standard osu! I guess) nvm file is fixed :- )



/me now going to decipher new vals in it :p
