[resolved] Osu Main Menu Background Changed to Black?

Problem Details:
I went into the other room for about half an hour to watch some TV and come back to find the background is changed. Im not a supporter so I cant change the background or anything. even though it look really cool :3

Well this is my guesses.
  1. Does that happens always when you open the game as well as affect other parts of the game? Change your Renderer (I seen people had this issue)
  2. Does that only happen in the main menu? Maybe a glitch? Try opening the application again
  3. Still happens? Either update your client via osu!me (game updater) or check if you aren't missing any graphical updates (AMD, NVidia, DirectX and the works.
Oh and seriously (won't lie) that looks epic. ;) Heheheh

I restarted osu! and it was "fine" (back to its normal self :( )
Peppy pls make it so that as the day goes by the color changes so at night it like that XD

Probably just a glitch with sprites being unloaded. Did you minimize the game, put your computer into sleep mode or something similar?

I've had this a few times, all you have to do to fix it is to restart the game.
I think if you play a song, it will tend to crash as well, so it's best to restart before you actually play something.
I think it is because the sprites are not loaded, but I don't know what causes it.
Sometimes it happens after playing a song.

Is actually a much more broad bug than just songs. (Sprites issue all over osu!)

I've had this problem for months, but it makes the main menu looks cool so it didn't really bother me. It doesn't affect anything in solo, but the background would be black too in mp, which is a bit inconvenient.

I also have problems when my skin sound effect stop working, map and default skin sound effects still work, don't know if associated with this though.

Wait this is a bug?
Its been like that for me since forever, ie since i installed Osu!.

Id guess its shaders related, is it always like this when Pixel Shader 2.0 is disabled?

What is it supposed to look like?

What are sprites :P sorry if its something obvious or stupid I'm really bad at this :cry:

Sprites are a graphical element in osu!. For example, a background image is a sprite. A skin element is a sprite. Sprite is basically code talk for a graphic.
