00:12:028 (59) - add Finish? I don't really think it's the best place for a finish

Futsuu

OD2→3 HP2→4 okay~

00:51:212 (85,86,87,88,89,90,91) - 1/1-pattern is long.think again. slow song and easy to hit, plus it's the chorus, I think it's fine. it'll help players move smoothly to Futsuu, too.

Hi, Mod as your request.

[Oni]

00:05:905 (28,29,30) - I'd prefer you did ddd here, because there's didn't vocal here, so it doesn't same as before three part.
00:19:375 (87) - k here to follow vocal?
00:22:640 - => 00:23:456 - d k d k k? Same as above reason.
00:31:620 (140) - K, because you can hear the cymbal sound at here.
00:46:722 (208) - k here to follow 2-4 beat stanza rule? (usually there will be k when meet 2-4 beat stanza.)
00:51:212 (229) - D here to represent the chorus start?
00:55:089 (250) - k, the vocal tone at here is same goes to 00:54:885 (249) - this note.
00:56:722 (258,259) - Should be k d here imo, the pikachu sound tone.

[Muzukashii]

00:08:559 (8) - I think the part-length is here is too long, it would be better if you delete this note.
00:19:579 (46) - k to follow vocal.
00:51:212 (166) - Same as Oni, K to represent the chorus start.

[Futsuu]

00:51:212 (119) - Same as Oni.

Fine.

[Kantan]

00:51:212 (85) - Same as Oni.

Fine too.

Solid map, nothing can be mentioned.
Good Luck :)

Hi! From mod queue o/

d - Small don
D - Big don
k - Small kat
K - Big kat

Black means something that I think needs changed
Orange is just a suggestion

[Kantan]

00:00:599 (1) - Change it to a K, it's the first note of the song and there is a crashing sound in the background
00:52:436 (88,90) - If you are following the vocals here, ctrl+g these two notes, it matches the pitch of the voice if you do!
00:59:783 (103,104) - Same goes for these two! If you are following the vocals, ctrl+g here works best
01:19:783 (142) - I realize why you put this note here, but it might catch a few people off guard with the weird spacing. I'm not saying change this right now, but I just want to bring it to your attention that it might be better placed on the white tick before or after it ^^

[Futsuu]

00:00:599 (1) - Add finish for same reason as Kantan
01:03:864 (150) - Add a finish here!

Nice Futsuu! It's fun to play :D

[Muzukashii]

00:00:599 (1) - Change it to a K for the same reason as above! This time it's just a suggestion because there is a note 1/2 a beat after, so it's up to you whether you wish to make this change
00:41:416 (128) - Change this to a d, it adds variation and follows the rhythm!
00:42:640 (133) - Change this to a k for the same reason!

[Oni]

00:00:599 (1) - Change this to a D! If you decide to make the muzu note a K, then I think you should definitely change this one too!
00:34:477 (153) - Change this to a k, there is a clap here in the song
00:37:742 (168) - Change this to a k and add another k at 00:37:844 - ? It feels like the triplet works well here, but it's your call!
00:39:783 (178,179) - Change these two to D's, the notes at 00:38:150 (171,172) - and 00:41:416 (184,185) - are finishes too? If you are following the vocals closely here though, ignore this one :o

Fun mapset and cute song :D Good luck with rank!

Nardoxyribonucleic
Hi, here comes a taiko mod as requested in my queue.

[General]

It seems that video is not included in Futsuu and Muzukashii diffs. Consider adding it as well ?

  • [Kantan]
  1. 00:05:089 (8) - d would be better as the vocal pitch is lower than that at 00:04:681 (7) -
  2. 00:29:579 (46,47) - consider swapping these notes to k d ? This could follow both the decrease in vocal pitch and the snare sound in a way better.
  3. 00:37:334 (60) - This note could be deleted to give a 4/1 break here. The break would work well since the part starting from 00:38:150 - is quite different from before.
  4. 00:52:436 (88,89) - swap these notes to d k ? This could fit the increasing pitch of the vocal there.
  5. 01:04:681 (112,113) - same as ^
  • [Futsuu]
  1. 00:05:089 (15) - same as Kantan
  2. 00:08:354 (5) - d would be better since it has the same vocal pitch as 00:08:763 (7) -
  3. 00:10:395 (10,12) - consider swapping these notes to k d ? This could accompany the decreasing vocal pitch nicely.
  4. 00:25:089 (51) - k would fit the high-pitched vocal well imo.
  5. 00:26:314 (54) - d would be better if you change ^
  6. 00:36:926 (83,84) - similar to Kantan, these notes could be deleted to create a longer break for the diff.
  7. 00:47:334 (109) - d would sound better since it has the same vocal pitch as 00:47:538 (110) -
  8. 00:52:436 (122,123,124) - similar to Kantan, consider changing these notes to d k k to accompany the changes in vocal pitch better ?
  9. 01:04:681 (152,153) - same as Kantan
  • [Muzukashii]

Consider HP+1 to make a better spread of difficulty setting from Futsuu to Oni ?
  1. 00:05:089 (19) - same as Kantan
  2. 00:10:395 (12,14) - same as Futsuu
  3. 00:25:497 (66) - consider changing this note to k to follow the snare ?
  4. 00:27:130 (73) - same as ^
  5. 00:32:436 (93) - This note could be deleted to emphasize the neighbouring vocal a bit more.
  6. 00:35:497 (105) - move to 00:35:905 - and change to k if you want to follow the vocal.
  • [Oni]
  1. From 00:00:599 to 00:11:620 - , why not following vocal as you did in the lower difficulties ? A bit strange to see a different mapping style here.
  2. 00:22:436 (101,102,103,104,105) - consider changing these notes to d d k k d ? This could fit the vocal in a way better.
  3. 00:27:130 (121,122,123) - similar to ^ , k d k would probably sound better imo.
  4. 00:32:436 (143) - same as Muzukashii
  5. 00:35:497 (157) - move to 00:36:314 - and change to k ? Similar to the suggestion in Muzukashii.
  6. 00:47:946 (214,215,216,217) - It seems that k d k d could follow the decreasing vocal pitch across the notes.
  7. 01:03:456 (292) - Please remove the finish here or delete 01:03:354 (291) - . ddK in 1/4 is not rankable.
  8. 01:16:416 - consider adding k here to follow the background vocal ?
That's all and good luck~ :D

Hi, here comes a taiko mod as requested in my queue.

[General]

It seems that video is not included in Futsuu and Muzukashii diffs. Consider adding it as well ? okay~

  • [Kantan]
  1. 00:05:089 (8) - d would be better as the vocal pitch is lower than that at 00:04:681 (7) - okay~
  2. 00:29:579 (46,47) - consider swapping these notes to k d ? This could follow both the decrease in vocal pitch and the snare sound in a way better. okay~ also deleted note before to give break
  3. 00:37:334 (60) - This note could be deleted to give a 4/1 break here. The break would work well since the part starting from 00:38:150 - is quite different from before. okay~
  4. 00:52:436 (88,89) - swap these notes to d k ? This could fit the increasing pitch of the vocal there. this one I want to keep simple rhythm
  5. 01:04:681 (112,113) - same as ^ ^
  • [Futsuu]
  1. 00:05:089 (15) - same as Kantan okay~
  2. 00:08:354 (5) - d would be better since it has the same vocal pitch as 00:08:763 (7) - but it has the same pitch as earlier, too, so I decided to keep as k
  3. 00:10:395 (10,12) - consider swapping these notes to k d ? This could accompany the decreasing vocal pitch nicely. overall changed to kkd instead
  4. 00:25:089 (51) - k would fit the high-pitched vocal well imo. okay~
  5. 00:26:314 (54) - d would be better if you change ^ same as with earlier, same pitch as previous note
  6. 00:36:926 (83,84) - similar to Kantan, these notes could be deleted to create a longer break for the diff. feels a bit empty for this diff though
  7. 00:47:334 (109) - d would sound better since it has the same vocal pitch as 00:47:538 (110) - keeping simple patterns like ddk and kkd for futsuu
  8. 00:52:436 (122,123,124) - similar to Kantan, consider changing these notes to d k k to accompany the changes in vocal pitch better ? ^
  9. 01:04:681 (152,153) - same as Kantan ^
  • [Muzukashii]

Consider HP+1 to make a better spread of difficulty setting from Futsuu to Oni ? okay~
  1. 00:05:089 (19) - same as Kantan okay~
  2. 00:10:395 (12,14) - same as Futsuu okay~
  3. 00:25:497 (66) - consider changing this note to k to follow the snare ? okay~
  4. 00:27:130 (73) - same as ^ okay~
  5. 00:32:436 (93) - This note could be deleted to emphasize the neighbouring vocal a bit more. sounds a bit empty orz
  6. 00:35:497 (105) - move to 00:35:905 - and change to k if you want to follow the vocal. moved but kept as d
  • [Oni]
  1. From 00:00:599 to 00:11:620 - , why not following vocal as you did in the lower difficulties ? A bit strange to see a different mapping style here. different difficulty lends itself to mapping to different style, so I varied it a bit, yep
  2. 00:22:436 (101,102,103,104,105) - consider changing these notes to d d k k d ? This could fit the vocal in a way better. okay~
  3. 00:27:130 (121,122,123) - similar to ^ , k d k would probably sound better imo. okay~
  4. 00:32:436 (143) - same as Muzukashii sounds a bit empty for me
  5. 00:35:497 (157) - move to 00:36:314 - and change to k ? Similar to the suggestion in Muzukashii. makes the next stream kinda long though
  6. 00:47:946 (214,215,216,217) - It seems that k d k d could follow the decreasing vocal pitch across the notes. okay~
  7. 01:03:456 (292) - Please remove the finish here or delete 01:03:354 (291) - . ddK in 1/4 is not rankable. it's rankable, the final note is a different color from the previous note
  8. 01:16:416 - consider adding k here to follow the background vocal ? sounds a bit weird for me orz
That's all and good luck~ :D
thanks for mod~

Hi! From my forum NM/M4M taiko queue.
I am pretty thorough, so don't be annoyed if I point out a lot of issues. A lot of times they are just my opinions, so feel free to object to them. :3

I look at mainly composing: how you map the music. Not just the drums; the vocals, background synth, the symphonic backing, the pauses; everything. But especially vocals.
I also look at pattern repetition and consistency, and how you fit in your 1/4 runs.

(Note: If I tell you your Oni isn’t hard enough, that’s just my masochist side speaking, you can most definitely ignore if you wish. ^.^ )

d = don
k = katsu
D = big don
K = big katsu

PIKACHU! <3

[Kantan]
00:25:497 (38,39) - change to k d (vocals' pitch remain the same, so map the beat, wherein bass kick occurs every beat)
01:05:089 (111,115) - I would prefer these notes to be k, since vocals remain high pitched
01:18:967 (138,1) - change to d k, d would match bass drum kick, k would match vocals

[Futsuu]
00:12:844 (17,18) - change to k, match PIKA
00:29:579 (62) - change to k, match vocals' pitch
00:56:926 (134) - change to k, as well as adding d to 00:56:722, to match KACHU
01:18:967 (191,192) - see Kantan
01:19:987 (194) - maybe change to K?

[Muzukashii]
00:19:783 (47) - move to 00:19:987 would match vocals as well as make a nice offbeat pattern (does get rid of k on 2nd beat tho, you decide on this one)
00:41:416 (128,129,130) - change to ddk to match 00:45:497 (145,146,147) , or the other way round
00:56:926 (187) - see Futsuu (KACHU)
01:19:375 (276) - personal preference, I would like this to be k, d works as well though.

[Oni]
00:25:293 - add k, match vocals
00:39:171 (175,176) - change to dd, mirror 00:42:028 (185,186,187,188,189)
00:47:538 (213) - change to k, map vocals instead of beat here (<--- my style, you decide)
00:49:171 (220,222) - change to k, vary up the monotonous d run
01:19:375 (376) - see Muzukashii

And also, after looking through my mod, would you mind taking the time to check out my taiko set? <3

There you go! Hope you find this mod helpful, and good luck beatmapping!

01:05:089 (111,115) - I would prefer these notes to be k, since vocals remain high pitched this is supposed to be a reversed first verse, so I'm keeping it as is
01:18:967 (138,1) - change to d k, d would match bass drum kick, k would match vocals okay~

[Futsuu]
00:12:844 (17,18) - change to k, match PIKA okay~

00:56:926 (134) - change to k, as well as adding d to 00:56:722, to match KACHU this one disrupts the pattern a bit so nope sorry XD
01:18:967 (191,192) - see Kantan okay~
01:19:987 (194) - maybe change to K? want to avoid the finish here, might be tough for Futsuu

[Muzukashii]
00:19:783 (47) - move to 00:19:987 would match vocals as well as make a nice offbeat pattern (does get rid of k on 2nd beat tho, you decide on this one) I don't want to match vocals here though, since it's a little awkward sounding for me

01:19:375 (276) - personal preference, I would like this to be k, d works as well though. no change then, keeping it easy

[Oni]
00:25:293 - add k, match vocals okay~
00:39:171 (175,176) - change to dd, mirror 00:42:028 (185,186,187,188,189) mapping to drums here though, the kats help to seperate from the bass hit dons next to them
00:47:538 (213) - change to k, map vocals instead of beat here (<--- my style, you decide) hmm okay~
00:49:171 (220,222) - change to k, vary up the monotonous d run I like my d stream though orz nice build up

Add 1500 AudioLeadIn or all difficulties

Can't get a 1366 x 768 version of the BG?

End the kiai time on the last note? Don't see a need for it to extend further

Kantan

01:19:681 (1) - unsure about this, the shortness of this, it just feels additional to everything

Futsuu

00:15:293 (25) - k? Guitar is at its highest pitch here

Unlike Kantan, Futsuu introduces quite a lot of 1/2 beats which Kantan had none at all, if the addition of 1/2 beats weren't this drastic, it would be better. Like removing some from Futsuu or adding some to Kantan

Muzukashii

00:40:599 (125,126,127) - use the same rhythm as 00:47:130 (150,151,152)
01:08:967 (232,233,234) - use ddd
01:13:456 (249,250,251) - ^ unless you really really need this pattern?

Oni

00:24:681 (110,111,112) - use kkd for this
00:33:865 (152) - change to d, the pitch lowered at this point
00:42:028 (186,187,188) - kdd?
00:46:620 - add a d here, it fits the music and vocals
00:49:171 (221,222,223,224,225,226,227,228) - instead of d d d ddd d d, change this to k d k kdd k d for more variety, or at least something along the lines of this rhythm
01:03:456 (293) - it's not really a fast song, but for 1/4 beats, the rule still applies that there needs to be at least 4 notes of a different colour before you can add a finish on the last 1/4 beat, unless it's a really really slow song
01:14:069 (347) - add finish?
01:16:416 - add a k here

Kantan

Futsuu

00:15:293 (25) - k? Guitar is at its highest pitch here sounds alright, changed

Muzukashii

00:40:599 (125,126,127) - use the same rhythm as 00:47:130 (150,151,152) okay, fixed
01:08:967 (232,233,234) - use ddd deleted center note since I think it sounds better
01:13:456 (249,250,251) - ^ unless you really really need this pattern? yeah, it matches the drums

Oni

00:24:681 (110,111,112) - use kkd for this okay~
00:33:865 (152) - change to d, the pitch lowered at this point okay~

01:03:456 (293) - it's not really a fast song, but for 1/4 beats, the rule still applies that there needs to be at least 4 notes of a different colour before you can add a finish on the last 1/4 beat, unless it's a really really slow song okay, changed the previous k to d so it's 4 notes now
01:14:069 (347) - add finish? okay~
01:16:416 - add a k here okay~
thanks for mod~

Fixed some patterns in Muzu and Kantan and added a finish just before kiai in Oni. I think it is clean.
Nwolf
Popping bubble to avoid BNs going yolo on this

01:03:252 (292,293,294) - has a big kat one a 1/4 triplet. Until the rule change has applied, this stays unrankable. Let's not forget that in this case the finisher OR the note 293 should get removed anyway due to it being overmap and therefore not justifying this usage of a finisher (which will not be okay after rule change too).

There's also spread issues: The whole kiai looks nearly the same in Kantan/Futsuu. I would suggest to delete a few notes in Kantan since some of those 5-plets and 7-plets are kinda too much.

01:14:069 (163,164,165,166,167,168,169,170,171,172,173,174,175,176,177,178,179,180,181,182) - This also seems like a too harsh pattern in Futsuu, would recommend to delete 01:16:926 (172) -

Do not kd this, gonna throw a real mod at this tomorrow

log
09:08 Coro: oh hey
09:08 Nwolf: hi
09:08 Coro: got held up at work, I'll do some quick changes to my map
09:09 Nwolf: kk
09:09 Nwolf: sorry for not finishing mod yet :C
09:09 Coro: it's k
09:13 Coro: right I've updated
09:13 Coro: that finisher in Oni i deleted the note before it
09:13 Coro: the futsuu stream I reduced
09:13 Nwolf: kk
09:13 Coro: and I nerfed kantan's kiai
09:13 Nwolf: C:
09:15 Coro: so umm
09:15 Coro: as long as we're both online
09:15 Coro: are you free to settle it in irc mod?
09:15 Coro: then we can get it over with quickly~
09:16 Nwolf: hm k

09:17 Nwolf: 00:05:497 (9) - Replace with don
09:17 Nwolf: To have a real 4/1 break here
09:17 Coro: ah k
09:17 Nwolf: (also I don't see how a drum roll fits)
09:18 Coro: hmm well I though it would fit a little
09:18 Coro: just instinct from arcade taiko
09:18 Coro: ah well
09:18 Nwolf: 00:07:538 (11) - delete to increase gap to Futsuu
09:19 Coro: k
09:20 Nwolf: 00:24:273 (36) - delete for break again
09:20 Nwolf: 00:30:803 (47) - ^
09:20 Coro: done
09:20 Coro: whew kantans a lot emptier than i remembered them
09:21 Coro: do i have to nerf the following 5 notes
09:21 Nwolf: nah
09:21 Nwolf: ok yes
09:21 Nwolf: because Futsuu is hardly different ;w;
09:22 Coro: so i'll remove 00:32:844 (48) -
09:22 Coro: and 00:35:293 (51) -
09:22 Coro: seems fine?
09:22 Nwolf: 00:19:783 (28) - that too
09:22 Coro: k
09:22 Nwolf: 00:23:048 (34) - and this
09:23 Coro: ah the later one i should've removed the second last note
09:23 Coro: swapped
09:27 Nwolf: 00:49:171 (80) - move 00:49:987 - here
09:27 Nwolf: wait no wron gnote
09:27 Nwolf: 00:45:905 (74) - that 00:46:722 - here
09:27 Nwolf: 00:50:395 (82) - remove for break
09:28 Coro: first one done
09:28 Coro: second one hmm there's a very distinctive drum here
09:28 Coro: maybe remove from somewhere else?
09:29 Coro: maybe 00:48:354 (71) - ?
09:29 Nwolf: only alternative would be 00:38:150 - 00:44:681 - remapping this part in all diffs so it's more calm
09:29 Nwolf: that does not make a 4/1 break tho
09:29 Coro: absolutely need a 4/1 break huh
09:29 Nwolf: yes
09:29 Nwolf: because there is none after 38 seconds
09:29 Coro: hmm
09:29 Nwolf: and that's the middle of the song
09:30 Coro: fair enough
09:30 Coro: i'll remove it
09:30 Coro: is it okay to add finish to 00:49:579 (74)
09:30 Nwolf: don't think it really fits but I won't stop you
09:31 Coro: want to add for emphasis on end of section I guess
09:31 Nwolf: 00:56:926 (93) - 01:09:987 (116) - Can be deleted too to improve spread
09:31 Coro: k
09:34 *Nwolf is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/470342 J*Dee'Z with Pikachu - Peace Smile! [Futsuu]]
09:34 Nwolf: 00:05:497 (14) - Replace with note again
09:34 Coro: yep
09:35 Nwolf: 00:12:028 - 00:17:742 - From Futsuu onwards I think this is mapped with too many notes
09:36 Nwolf: except that synthesizer and the 1/1 bass drum there's nothing here
09:36 Coro: I varied a little since to map too strictly will end up with a bit of a boring chart
09:36 Coro: I can cut down a bit if necessary though
09:37 Coro: but if it fits the spread I think it's fine
09:37 Nwolf: imo if a map stays the same throughout a song that has calm and intense parts it's more boring
09:37 Nwolf: the Futsuu is too hard here, I think
09:37 Nwolf: (and Muzu has completely different patterns compared to Oni)
09:37 Coro: fair enough
09:38 Coro: really? they're not similar enough?
09:38 Coro: I did base them both off the same d k base
09:39 Coro: anyway for futsuu
09:39 Coro: I'll delete 00:13:048 (16) -
09:39 Coro: and 00:14:885 (20) -
09:39 Coro: then umm change 00:14:477 (19) to k to maintain consistency
09:39 Coro: is that fine?
09:40 Nwolf: yes
09:41 Nwolf: 00:15:293 (20,22) - what colors do these have
09:41 Coro: d d
09:41 Coro: oh yeah I changed that too
09:41 Coro: and 00:16:518 (23) to k
09:42 Nwolf: 00:15:293 (20) - should be don 00:16:110 (22) - this kat 00:16:518 (23) - this don
09:42 Nwolf: to keep the previous rhythm
09:43 Coro: ah k
09:45 Nwolf: 00:21:212 (35) - move that note 00:21:620 - here
09:46 Nwolf: easier rhythm and stuff
09:46 Coro: hmm feels a little weird though
09:46 Nwolf: and if you find a spot for 00:20:803 (34) - this note, move that one too
09:46 Coro: I think it's better to just delete it
09:46 Nwolf: naaaah
09:46 Nwolf: Then the Futsuu becomes even easier
09:46 Coro: the idea is to avoid duplets is it?
09:47 Nwolf: it's to make a slightly larger break (and to avoid doublets)
09:47 Coro: cause the vocals are very prominent here too
09:47 Coro: so shitfing around affects the consistency with the song too
09:48 Coro: deleting feels the most comfortable for me here
09:48 Nwolf: they are more prominent on the spot where I want to move it too
09:48 Coro: what do you think?
09:48 Coro: hmm
09:48 Coro: what about the first duplet
09:48 Nwolf: 00:19:579 - try it here?
09:49 Nwolf: ok no the first doublet makes sense
09:49 Nwolf: I'm okay with that one
09:49 Coro: yeah otherwise it sounds real empty
09:50 Nwolf: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2863774
09:51 Coro: seems alright
09:52 Coro: k changed
09:52 Nwolf: also note that I change stuff around 00:23:865 - here because it didn't fit the map that well imo
09:53 Coro: i guess
09:53 Coro: though I liked the effect with the d d k at the end
09:53 Coro: since it fit nicely the music phrase
09:53 Coro: I changed it though
09:53 Nwolf: no it really doesn't ;P
09:53 Coro: you're even stricter music mapper than i am orz
09:54 Nwolf: yes
09:54 Nwolf: 00:26:518 - add kat?
09:54 Coro: k
09:54 Nwolf: also when we are getting to Oni I don't see how you map strict to music *runs*
09:55 Coro: heh
09:55 Nwolf: 00:29:171 (53) - make doublet by moving it 00:28:967 - here?
09:55 Coro: I mapped it to bass synth wew
09:55 Coro: k
09:55 Nwolf: bass synth doesn't have 1/4 in the intro *hides*
09:56 Coro: is even a little improv not okay with you XD
09:56 Nwolf: 00:29:375 - maybe add a note here
09:56 Nwolf: Not in the intro ;w;
09:57 Coro: two doublets are not okay earlier but are okay here? haha
09:57 Nwolf: it's different ;w;
09:57 Coro: how so XD
09:57 Nwolf: vocals are louder on those doublets
09:57 Nwolf: and it's a shorter pattern :D
09:58 Coro: okay the second one i get
09:58 Coro: the vocals are the same throughout though ;w;
09:58 Coro: it's subjective this one
09:58 Nwolf: ye
09:58 Coro: anyway changed
09:58 Nwolf: 00:29:987 (55,56) - Change first to don and delete the other note - 00:30:803 (58) - also change this to don
09:59 Nwolf: or move the last note to 00:31:212 - this spot but I don't think it fits that well
09:59 Coro: i went with the first suggestion
10:00 Nwolf: 00:34:273 (66) - move 00:35:089 - here?
10:00 Nwolf: 00:36:926 (74,75) - same as before
10:00 Coro: k
10:00 Coro: done
10:01 Nwolf: omg they are streaming France - Japan now ;w;
10:01 Coro: haha
10:01 Coro: you want to come back later? XD
10:02 Nwolf: nah I'll try to mod and watch
10:02 Coro: lol k
10:03 Nwolf: actually that lost spot
10:03 Nwolf: make it a 4/1 break maybe
10:03 Nwolf: it's the middle of the song so why not :D
10:03 Coro: you mean 00:50:395 (110) -
10:03 Nwolf: no
10:03 Nwolf: 00:36:926 (74,75) - same as before
10:04 Nwolf: clear all notes around that spot to make big breal
10:04 Nwolf: *kl
10:04 Coro: so delete those two
10:05 Nwolf: 00:47:538 (100) - delete because too high density
10:05 Coro: k
10:06 Nwolf: 00:55:089 - ADD note
10:06 Coro: k
10:07 Nwolf: 00:58:354 - Here too, maybe
10:08 Coro: ah sure
10:08 Nwolf: 01:08:150 - and here
10:08 Coro: maintain consistency
10:08 Nwolf: 01:11:416 - and here
10:08 Nwolf: added "maybe" because idk some mappers don't map consistent C:
10:08 Coro: haiz
10:09 Coro: i used to be super strict too you know
10:09 Coro: then I got a lot of flak for repeated patterns
10:09 Nwolf: I used to be less strict :D
10:09 Coro: now I improvise a bit if it's too boring orz
10:09 Nwolf: Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy improvise if it's executed well
10:10 Nwolf: and I'm gonna try to explain why it's not the case in the intro ;w;
10:10 Coro: just keep in mind difference between a rule break and a subjective opinion, that's all orz
10:10 Nwolf: ye
10:10 Coro: not saying I won't change it, just you know
10:11 Nwolf: I'm only forcing the 4/1 breaks for the most part :D
10:11 *Nwolf is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/476826 J*Dee'Z with Pikachu - Peace Smile! [Muzukashii]]
10:11 Coro: fair enough
10:11 Nwolf: 00:03:456 (12) - Delete to give vocals more room
10:11 Coro: k
10:12 Nwolf: 00:05:497 (18) - Replace with note C:
10:13 Coro: uh huh
10:13 Nwolf: 00:07:130 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - hm
10:14 Nwolf: That pattern makes sense but at the same time I wish it would be different D:
10:14 Coro: so what do we do haha
10:14 Coro: let it slide this once? XD
10:15 Nwolf: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2863836
10:15 Nwolf: would be one idea
10:15 Nwolf: idk if you like it
10:16 Coro: hmm
10:16 Coro: k i shifted to make it kkd
10:16 Coro: but i left the first note there
10:16 Nwolf: 00:09:987 (11) - kill eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
10:17 Coro: lelelel
10:17 Coro: alright alright
10:17 Coro: it was tagged to the 'pika' soundbyte in case you're wondering orz
10:17 Nwolf: ye I heard that
10:19 Nwolf: 00:14:681 (29,30) - would you mind deleting these
10:19 Coro: i'll delete 00:14:681 (28) but not the other
10:20 Coro: otherwise sounds too empty
10:23 Nwolf: 00:18:559 (40,41,42,43,44,45,46) - Find a note that you are fine with deleting
10:23 Nwolf: ;w;
10:24 Nwolf: or wait is there a 1/2 note in Futsuu now
10:24 Nwolf: I forgot
10:24 Coro: if i had to delete I'll delete 00:19:171 (42) -
10:26 Nwolf: would recommend a deletion
10:26 Nwolf: so there's a more equal gap between Futsuu/Muzu and Muzu/Oni
10:26 Coro: k i deleted
10:27 Nwolf: brb
10:27 Coro: k
10:32 Nwolf: 00:23:865 (59,60) - 59 -> kat 60 -> delete
10:34 Coro: sounds a little empty though
10:34 Coro: what if i just delete 00:24:681
10:35 Nwolf: sounds more empty to me ;w;
10:35 Nwolf: subjectivness sucks
10:35 Coro: orz
10:35 Nwolf: 00:23:865 (59,60) - trade these at least lol
10:35 Nwolf: so k d instead of d k
10:35 Coro: you see, the music phrase starts at 00:25:089
10:35 Nwolf: on
10:35 Nwolf: 00:24:681 - it starts here :P
10:36 Coro: no it doesn't ;w;
10:36 Coro: I studied music, it starts there
10:36 Coro: that's the vocals doing a lead in
10:36 Coro: you hear all the strong beats falling on those lines
10:37 Nwolf: ok lead-in
10:37 Nwolf: but that's as important to vocals :P
10:37 Coro: i thought this was a drum game haha
10:37 Coro: for me, having strong fundamental is most important
10:38 Nwolf: I thought you map to vocals tho
10:38 Nwolf: also drum rythm is kat on 2/4 pls
10:38 Nwolf: :P
10:38 Coro: no, i map to base fundamental first
10:38 Coro: if i need to improvise, then i do vocals
10:38 Coro: yeah
10:38 Coro: if between base and vocals there's clash i go with base
10:39 Coro: that's why sometimes i think people think it's weird orz
10:39 Coro: i'm still learning a good medium
10:44 Nwolf: 00:26:518 (68) - delete?=
10:44 Coro: k
10:45 Nwolf: 00:29:171 (77) - 00:28:967 - move here and 00:28:559 (75) - don 00:29:579 (79) - kat
10:45 Nwolf: ~variation in rhythm~
10:45 Coro: k
10:46 Nwolf: mfw I expected more commentary
10:46 Coro: eh
10:47 Coro: it's fine XD
10:47 Nwolf: 00:31:620 (87) - MIssing finisher? (oni)
10:47 Coro: ah right
10:48 Nwolf: 00:36:926 (107,108,109,110,111) - would recommend turning this into a 2/1 break somehow
10:48 Nwolf: due to Futsuu having a 4/1 break now to seperate calm and intense part
10:48 Coro: i can delete the kkk
10:48 Nwolf: sounds ok
10:49 Nwolf: if you're ok with it
10:49 Coro: i can live with it haha
10:49 Nwolf: 00:38:354 (110) - 00:38:763 - move here
10:49 Nwolf: 00:41:620 (123) - 00:42:028 - move here and change to kat
10:50 Coro: k
10:51 Nwolf: 00:48:354 (148) - change to kat and 00:48:763 (149,150,151,152,153,154,155,156,157,158) - why is the pattern more complicated than Oni ;w; (brb tiebreaker on stream)
10:54 Nwolf: noooo China won against Poland
10:55 Coro: aww
10:55 Coro: changed to k and also changed to match oni
10:55 Coro: so k d d d d ddd d K
10:55 Nwolf: k and now
10:55 Nwolf: make it a simpler pattern so it fits spread C:
10:56 Coro: quite simples XD
10:56 Coro: k d d d ddd d K
10:56 Coro: how's that
10:56 Nwolf: sure
10:56 Nwolf: 00:47:946 (146,147,148,149,150,151) - change to ddk ddk? C:
10:57 Coro: k
10:58 Nwolf: 01:03:456 (200,201,202) - Change to K K?
10:58 Coro: k
11:00 Nwolf: 01:08:559 (219,221) - idk these could be deleted, they play against the music imo
11:01 Coro: i deleted the note at 01:08:967
11:01 Coro: the other i kept
11:02 Nwolf: k
11:02 Nwolf: 01:11:212 (227) - kat 01:11:824 (230) - delete
11:02 Coro: j
11:02 Coro: *k
11:04 Nwolf: hm osu makes no sense, the video does not work in Muzu anymore
11:04 Coro: eh
11:04 Coro: it works here so it should be fine i guess? orz
11:04 Nwolf: It's fine
11:04 Nwolf: like I said, osu makes no sense :D
11:04 Coro: XD
11:05 Nwolf: ooooooook they are playing a nightcore song as warmup
11:05 Nwolf: I hate Germany ;w;
11:05 Coro: wew k
11:06 Nwolf: 00:00:599 - 00:12:028 - so ye as I hinted already, I totally hate the 1/4 in this part because this is the calmest part of the song, the song just started and then there's so much overmap ;_;
11:06 Coro: hmm
11:07 Coro: what should i do then
11:07 Coro: if i nerf it too much there's spread issue with muzu
11:07 Nwolf: ye that's what I forgot when we were at muzu
11:07 Nwolf: MUZU: 00:00:803 (2) - 00:04:069 (13) - delete
11:08 Nwolf: or something else in the 5-plets
11:08 Coro: then we have spread issue with Futsuu
11:08 Coro: orz
11:08 Coro: you see the problem orz
11:09 Nwolf: nah
11:09 Coro: hey tell you what
11:09 Coro: I'll try remapping that section in Oni
11:09 Coro: see if it works
11:09 Coro: give me a minute k
11:09 Nwolf: kk
11:10 Nwolf: can you update the map after with Kantan-Muzu changes
11:10 Coro: yeah
11:10 Coro: hey actually
11:10 Nwolf: idk if I've done everything right lol
11:10 Coro: if you go hear the song you can hear what I'm mapping to orz
11:10 Coro: it's the background drums
11:10 Coro: the snares
11:10 Nwolf: hi-hat
11:10 Nwolf: blah
11:10 Nwolf: that's why I get the dkdkdkdkd yes
11:10 Nwolf: but not the 1/4 ;w;
11:11 Coro: k k
11:11 Coro: I'll stick to harder muzu pattern then
11:11 Nwolf: and in Muzu/Futsuu it should be easy to delete 1-2 notes
11:11 Nwolf: I think
11:14 Coro: k updated
11:14 Nwolf: oh wow the total note count for Futsuu even went up
11:14 Nwolf: that's good
11:14 Nwolf: :D
11:18 Coro: is it better now
11:23 Nwolf: better yes
11:23 Nwolf: is the 1/4 really necessary for you?
11:23 Coro: if i don't use a single 1/4 then we have spread issues with muzu, remember
11:23 Coro: I've kept them to a minimum and in intuitive places
11:24 Nwolf: pls spread issues can be fixed in muzu and futsuu
11:24 Coro: how much do you wanna nerf it haha
11:25 Nwolf: well I already told you that I prefer to remove all them unless you want them
11:25 Coro: yeah
11:25 Nwolf: then I will only complain about 00:05:905 (25,26,27,28,29) -
11:25 Nwolf: C:
11:26 Coro: guess I'll use my right to keep some stuff in here
11:26 Coro: as for that one hmm
11:27 Coro: i'll delete 00:06:008 (26,27,29) -
11:27 Nwolf: 00:12:028 - 00:17:742 - looks quite different compared to Muzu which is confusing
11:28 Coro: yeah hmm
11:28 Coro: oni is mapped more to bass while muzu is mapped more to vocals
11:28 Coro: is that an issue?
11:29 Coro: they both follow the music, just different parts
11:29 Nwolf: should be consistent across diffs I think
11:29 Nwolf: because at the beginning Muzu features harder patterns than Oni
11:29 Coro: erm
11:29 Coro: is there a spread issue
11:30 Coro: I could add a couple notes to that section in oni
11:30 Nwolf: it's kinda a spread issue yeah
11:30 Coro: i wanna maintain the mapping to the drums here
11:30 Nwolf: just copy the Muzu over and add a few notes C:
11:30 Coro: or bass
11:30 Nwolf: you can even include 1/$
11:30 Nwolf: *1/4
11:30 Coro: so umm I'll add some notes, how about that
11:31 Coro: can i just add to the current oni
11:33 Coro: hmm okay i'll use muzu as a guide for this part
11:35 Coro: done
11:35 Nwolf: k
11:36 Nwolf: 00:26:110 (114) - 00:26:518 - move here
11:37 Coro: k
11:37 Nwolf: 00:34:681 - add kat
11:37 Coro: k
11:37 Nwolf: 00:35:497 (154) - move 00:36:314 - here
11:37 Coro: hmm
11:37 Nwolf: 00:37:028 (161) - move 00:37:232 - here because there's actually 1/4
11:38 Coro: it makes the next stream too long though
11:38 Coro: imo
11:38 Nwolf: 00:36:722 (159) - delete this then
11:38 Nwolf: C:
11:38 Coro: k
11:39 Nwolf: 00:46:416 (202) - delete
11:40 Coro: it matches the vocals though?
11:40 Coro: yeah yeah I know I haven't been mapping to it
11:40 Coro: i can remove it if you insist
11:41 Nwolf: vocals are snapped to 1/3 for w/e reason
11:41 Coro: ...oookay then
11:41 Nwolf: 00:46:620 (204) - or you delete this
11:41 Coro: removed
11:41 Nwolf: idk the 5-plet just doesn't seem like a good idea to me
11:42 Nwolf: mainly cause Muzu has 1/1 here
11:42 Coro: ah, i went with the first suggestion
11:43 Nwolf: 00:50:803 (225) - Could be deleted to make space before kiai
11:43 Coro: sure
11:44 Nwolf: 00:52:232 (231) - Delete this too cause spread
11:44 Nwolf: 00:52:844 (234) - Change this to kat
11:45 Coro: k
11:47 Nwolf: 01:01:008 (274,275,276) - change to kdk
11:48 Coro: k
11:48 Nwolf: 01:02:436 (282) - move 01:02:946 - here and 01:02:844 (284) - kat
11:48 Nwolf: 01:05:293 (295) - Delete
11:49 Coro: k
11:50 Nwolf: 01:16:212 (354) - move 01:16:008 - here to emphasise vocals on the kkd triplet better
11:50 Coro: k
11:50 Nwolf: also increase kiai's volume in all diffs to 75% or sth
11:51 Coro: will do
11:52 Coro: that's all?
11:52 Nwolf: yes

Notes

  1. 00:18:967 (25) - move to 00:20:599 - and move 00:20:803 (28) - to 00:21:008 - could make the rhythm more simple and clear
  2. 00:31:620 (43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51) - I have another idea about this pattern, I think you can try to follow the snare like this
[ Futsuu]

Notes

  1. 00:23:865 (43) - remove this note? i feel this note is not really fit the beat imo
  2. 00:30:395 (60) - move to 00:31:212 - and remove 00:32:436 (64) - ,to make consistency with 00:34:477 (69) -

[ Muzukashii]

Notes

  1. 00:23:456 (56,57,58,59,60) - i think you can make a break on 00:23:865 - instead of 00:24:681 - ,try this
  2. 00:32:436 (88) - remove this note, it could make the rhythm more clear and the spread would be more even if you fixed the mod on futsuu

[ Oni]

Notes

  1. 00:54:477 (240,241,242,243,244) - how about reverse the color? to make consistency with 00:52:844 (232,233,235,236,237,238,239) - or just reverse 00:54:477 (240,244) -
spread is close but even, call me back then :)

Reason for Disqualification

  1. Disqualified for wrong offset. More appropriated one is 617.
  2. There were more concerns which I will post down below, but which we didn't considered as direct DQ reason.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Additional Modding

[General]

  1. Check this please. Post kinda disappeared.
[ Kantan]

Harder sort of diff. but might be okay. Yet, maybe some little deletions would be not bad. Since you have consistent rest moments already, I will leave it to you wether you have some more or not.

  1. 00:12:028 (18) - A little spreaded view about this slider amoung us QATs. At the end we think it might appear to be kinda random. Maybe having something else might be better.
[ Futsuu]

Same concerns like in Kantan.

[ Muzukashii]

  1. Muzukashii(+Oni) doesn't provide any rest moments at some times, while Kantan and especially Futsuu have them. This should be changed a bit to lower Muzu's difficulty a bit and have a more even spread from Futsuu to Oni. Here the time stamps:
    00:24:273~00:37:334 -
    00:38:150~00:50:395 -
    00:51:212~01:19:987 -
  2. Maybe I should also add that there were concerns about the similarity at the beginning and the kiai. Might be okay, yet, should be reconsidered again.

Sorry that it took 6 days. We discussed a little about it due to density.
Couldn't add now many examples either, my bad. Have to leave for university. We will leave the rest to the BNs for now.

I'm not crazy about JP in the source, even now, but it looks like it's becoming the norm, so ehh
