Poem, not a book.The main source of the incense on my face
Is the definition of my depression?
In this world today, life is cursed and hope is far
Absent.
Especially if you are a black man.
Yesterday I fell asleep on top of the world
Moreover, fell of the dream train.
Today I woke up with the world on top of me.
For I wish to go to levels to a place where no other
Have.
On the contrary, this corrupt society snaps me back to reality
Moreover, my heart gets so afraid to try
For I have seen darkness with my eyes and light with My moral fiber.
All this makes me feel crazy
Who am I?
Just nobody I guess trying to prove to the naked
Eyes stitched shut.
I would say my dream has been detoured but I have not tried.
For I am an instrument of success inflicted by the power of good.
Courage flows thru my veins but doubt rains down my Nerves.
Moreover, burns my bones to dust living ashes
As my feet mark my presence, words walk thru endless time.
The firstlings of my hand will remain the firstlings of my heart.
I will reach for my dream at all cost.
