Hello, I am a mouse user (i find tablet very uncomfortable) and i use 800 dpi 1.0x sensitivity = 800 eDPI
Is this too low? What is the average?
Nikolai
just try different settings which work out for you
Mental Health
I also use those settings and its fine
idk about average but you shouldn't care

Was playing with 800 eDPI, actually felt a bit hard to reach circles sometimes, changed to 1000 and it feels better now, didn’t even become harder to control.

In general, switching settings too often and too drastic will hurt your muscle memory, but if you feel a demand in increasing or lowering the DPI - it won’t hurt much to try a bit to see if it works out.
Juuuuuuuuul
i started the game with 1000dpi 1.0x in game, then i encountered large jumps,
i changed it to 1.35x, because i was thinking that if my cursor is faster, i'll hit faster jumps.

i was wrong, even if it worked at the beginning (only for large jumps), in fact,
high-sens was making micro-moves uncontrollable, and flow-aim was shaky as hell.
i started decreasing the sens until finding a good one, minus 0.01/day, i'm now on 0.55x in game and it feel confortable.

i have now 1000dpi 0.55x in game on a 768res, mouse-only.

i don't think 800 is too low, if you're ok with it and don't feel the need to change it, keep it.

By the way, I forgot ‘bout that.
If you change your resolution in-game, you would also need to switch DPI as well.

I had played osu on full HD laptop and a 1680*1050 PC and wondered why my muscle memory has been f-d when switching between devices.

i use 800edpi and can hit long jumps pretty well, even kinda crossscreens, so no you dont need 10000 edpi
XxduckpigxX
I use 688eDPI, and it feels fine and comfortable for me

Im comfortable with 800dpi x2.2 . Its all personal preference I think
SimLazie
I use 1120eDPI just same as csgo.
Almost
You don't want it too high or too low. Somewhere in between is the sweet spot. Too high and you'll have more error in your cursor accuracy but too low and you'll run into more pronounced cursor drifting issues. It's mainly personal preference though.

honestly, there is no single eDPI value that can work for everyone as every player has different CPS. But there are tools to calculate your eDPI depending upon the game you're playing. I used to play at 640 eDPI as it was my valorant edPI, but it wasnt comfortable to play at OSU. So, i tried this edpi calculator (https://www.clickspeedtester.com/edpi-calculator/) For me it showed 732 eDPI and it feels much more comfortable now.

try to find what is comfortable for you

Im pretty new to osu, and still in 6 digit range. I play with 500 dpi and 0.56 sense and 1600x900 res. I didnt think it was that low till i started reading replies here..

It's fine, i played with 200 dpi 1x sens 720p.

You might have trouble with very fast direction changes using arm (high bpm wiggle pattern or short zigzag 'streams' etc), but you will have very consistent aim in what you can do.

You'll have a lot easier time with small cs on low dpi, too.

Idk about speed/8*+ aim maps, but it may be doable. Most i ever did was high 6* fc/7* pass.

If you want to be safe and want to compete at a higher/top level, it might be better to try higher sens and get a good feel for it, too. Then just use what seems best. Most people at a very high level don't have very low sens.

It also depends on your hand/body size: the same sens on two differend size people means more relative movement for the smaller one. To get the same feel/grip/body part (wrist/arm) usage for aim you would need differend sens. This probably very rarely accounts for more than 33% smaller or 50% bigger (130 cm kid vs 190 cm adult difference).

There's no "too low" when it comes to eDPI — it's all about what works for you. 800 is pretty common among mouse players, especially if you're used to that from other games. I’ve been on similar settings for years, and whenever I suspected my mouse was double-clicking, I just popped open [https://doubleclicktest.com/] to check. Not something I think about much, but it helped me rule out hardware issues a couple of times.

The thing is that edpi calculators in Osu! should also consider the resolution and not only dpi and ingame sens, because Osu! translates your sensitivity to the number of pixels the cursor moves just like windows does, games like Valorant do not care about your resolution and you have a raw edpi regardless of your resolution. I'm not sure if there's an option for Osu! in which you can change that. I tried raw input and it feels the same either enabled or disabled.
