Gateron VS Cherry MX‬ · forum‬

I'll just start off with the question: Why is everyone changing to gateron?

I've gathered information about the gateron switches but I either don't understand or can't find the info I need. So what other place than here should I ask? I mean.. We all play Osu! and I've seen Osu! players change to gateron. Mainly gateron red.

I currently have Cherry MX red switches, should I change and if so why should I change? I havn't changed switches on my keyboard and it has almost been 3 years since I got it, so that might be a reason.. I don't know.
