honestly i can resonate with your words, the feeling of being jaded from things you used to fervently enjoy solely because the fun has elapsed over time, i also lost interest in mapping a very long time ago, with the belief of it being meaningless/ inconsequential
the only thing keeping me occasionally active in mapping is the depression and “negative thoughts” that fuel my dopamine (to use it in a positive rational way, IF i could), you could get really psyched in a different way sometimes if you know how to manage yourself well
i don’t want to sound pathetic or out of context here therefore simply put, coping mechanisms drive me some motivation to do multiple things i wouldn’t do normally at all at regular times, including mapping
nevertheless, if you no longer find happiness and fun or have entirely lost motivation in doing it, then it’s a sign for you to end this chapter rather than repeating the cycle, there’s just no point in dwelling on the same page just to seek a voided exhilaration, leading yourself into the astray only to force something that’s meaningless
close the chapter and move on to the next episode, there’s only discoveries and excitement for you when you are determined to let go for another brand new adventure, after all, there are always better surprises and mysteries in life awaiting you to seek; let it be a fate
perhaps not every question needs an answer
