I tried changing around keybinds, and my main thing I'm struggling with is using the thumb to hit the middle notes. I practiced playing a lot on mania and quaver but I still suck.

Is there a skin that can help me? A comfortable keybind? or is this something that I'm going to have to commit for the long term?

You're just gonna have to spend a couple of hours learning the keybinds, there's nothing else to it :>

its not a skin thing, its just lack of experience

just play more, your thumb will eventually get used to it and your reading will improve over time
play easier maps if you need it, get used to the layout
and don't try to avoid your thumb

7k is like 6k but with thumb. im learning 7k aswell as beginner and whilst 6k has smill trnadfer i can confident say the thumb is learn6

Thumb felt weird n awkward when I started 7k. Fairly normal. I flipped my space bar upside down on mech keyboard, a bit more comfortable I find
