is it possible to delete the source on the beatmap that has been submitted? its my first time sumbitting map and i thought source mean where do i get the song so i provide the link. but i found that it have different meaning. I tried to delete it from the map editor's source section, but when I updated the beatmap, the source remained.

i dont see u already deleted source in editor, pls make sure u did it and then go File -> Upload Beatmap

i already upload the beatmap, so i tried deleting the source from the editor and then update my beatmap. but nothing changed
are you sure you updated the map correctly? i assume s/2434011 is the map in question. the submission date and the update date are the same, which indicates that you've never updated it after the initial upload.Veitch wrote:

yeah thats the map i was talking about.
im pretty sure this is the way you updating beatmap
is it because im using lazer?
Edit : i just figured out that to update a beatmap, you indeed have to go to file > Submit beatmap. i thought if i resubmitted the map, it would create two identical beatmaps because of the update button.

yeah the Update button (on stable it would be Update to latest version) will update the map to the one available online, not the actual changes you made locally. Don't use this if you intend to keep the changes you made.
and dw even if it turned out to indeed uploaded duplicated maps, you can just contact GMTs to help deleting the duplicated ones.
