just for the record, the
Contests forum would be the correct subforum to do this. you can also use that forum to see how others do mapping contests if you want.
i would also like to mention that, if your sole objective is to get mappers to map your favourite songs, there is also the option of commissioning, or even just asking mappers (not here though, beatmap requests are against the forum rules). if they like the song, they might just map it without expecting anything in return, although naturally the chance of success is gonna be much higher if you pay someone.
but of course a mapping competition can be a fun thing, so if you'd like to organize one, go ahead!
