I just want a wider variety of these kinds of maps. Examples include SurfChu85's maps. If you want an idea for where I am at with LNs, in beatmapsets/1477099#mania/3030679 insane is comfortable while Daybreak is out of reach, and in beatmapsets/1923261#mania/3970285 hard is comfortable, top 2 diffs aren't.
Currently I don't have many of these maps, just the LN dan maps and these example ones basically.

Also two questions:
1. Do inverses help with LNs in general, or do they just help with inverses. And just use LN inverse mod or should i also find actual inverse maps (for example to practice the inverted hold notes)
2. For patterns such as: (dashes = the hold notes)

(where the releases and hits aren't aligned next to each other)
Is it fine to cheese it by not releasing precisely, or should I learn to hit them precisely? I've been thinking that especially for LN I need to make sure I hit everything accurately because the bad muscle memory will probably be more detrimental than for rice.

Any additional advice is well appreciated

i cover some LN stuff here. please read as it covers my general LN advice

1) inverse LN doesnt really help LN in meaningful way. it can teach finger independence but normal LN teacher better finger independence

2) i assume what you mean by this question is that if theres multiple LNs at one point and they have different release timings then no learn how to release them seperatly

this map that i made should be similar to the kind of map you want, if the first chorus is easy wait for the last chorus

Ln main here. Full ln/inverse is great for lns in general. Ln patterns at a high level will include sections where spaces will be similar to inverse, so I personally find it very helpful. Playing inverse helps with shields as well from my experience. The inverse modifier on osu!lazer should work fine, I've used it a lot. My ln skill increased a lot in all forms of ln just by playing inverse. I recommend a game called soundsphere and using the fln2 or fln1 modifiers. It's fantastic release practice and helped me immensely in reading lns. A lot of ln maps have low OD, I recommend playing at least 5od minimum as any lower than that is too easy. It'll help you with acc. Only pay attention to the beginning and end of lns. The body isn't important. I also recommend learning lns without percy in the beginning. Try different scroll speeds as well. I used a scroll speed lower than rice for a while when I first started practicing lns.

I'll elaborate a bit more on a couple of things. Inverse is good for reading and physicality. It depends on the pattern though. You'll find that practicing both inverse and release is important for reading any ln pattern. Inverse is best for finger independence. It forces you to be aware of each finger that's being held down and which should be lifted up. It helps with pretty much anything related to ln physicality and even certain rice patterns. Release is also good for finger independence, but I believe inverse to be better. I like release for ln reading. It helps a whole lot for reading any ln. There are also very short lns which you can just read as rice notes that you need to hold slightly.
