Hi, I’m currently playing with a mouse that has an 8KHz polling rate. I’ve noticed that when I use 26,660 DPI and a sensitivity of 0.03x, the resulting eDPI is around 800 — the same as using 8000 DPI with 0.1x sensitivity. (After some updates, the game somehow removed the ability to edit sensitivity through the notepad file?)
Since it’s well known that higher DPI results in lower input delay, and helps maintain a more consistent 8KHz polling rate, this setup makes sense.
Also osu! stable have an issue that when you move the mouse to the edge of the screen, the game stops using the in-game sensitivity and instead uses the mouse sensitivity and Windows sensitivity settings. This causes inconsistent sensitivity, especially when I accidentally flick the mouse too far to the edge of the screen.
Just throwing this out there, hope it’s useful 👀

make justice for high dpi🙏

just turn your dpi down?

> 'higher DPI results in lower input delay, and helps maintain a more consistent 8KHz polling rate'
i have no idea what marketing horseshittery you've been absorbing, but this is absolute nonsense

> '8KHz polling rate'
osu! only polls for input at 1000hz so you're only hurting your own performance with this

> 'Also osu! stable have an issue'
If an issue is being caused by your janky settings, it's not an issue with the game.
