General
The Numerus Community Mapping Contest is a mapping contest on the Numerus Discord server where you are the judge! The placements of the entries are solely determined by an anonymous community vote, in which every member of our Discord server can cast a vote. Not only do the top 3 placements win prizes, there will also be a Score Competition where everyone competes on a server-internal leaderboard for 1 week. The winner of the Score Competition will win a prize, too!
Theme
The theme of this contest is video game music! All beatmaps must be mapped to a song that is part of the OST of any video game. Variations of such songs, such as remixes, covers and cut versions, are also allowed.
Rules
- Every person may only submit 1 beatmap. You may update your submission as many times as you want before the end of the mapping phase. The most recent version will be considered for the contest.
- Every submission must consist of exactly 1 osu!(standard) difficulty.
- Submissions must be kept private until the end of the voting phase, and must not be published anywhere. This includes submitting your beatmap through the Beatmap Submission System, sending it to someone on Discord (except for the official submission channel for this contest) and showing it to your friends.
- The submitted beatmap must not contain any game-breaking or bug-abusing content. Aspire-like elements (e.g., 2B and external editor hacks) are also prohibited. While not a strict requirement, we encourage you to follow the ranking criteria as closely as possible within the scope of the contest — especially the gameplay aspects of it — to avoid any issues in this regard.
- Collaboration is not allowed. The entire beatmap, the timing, the hitsounds (if applicable), the storyboard (if applicable) must all be created exclusively by the person submitting the beatmap. You may use the timing of an existing map instead of timing it yourself. However, you may not ask anyone to time it for you, and you may not use the hitsounds, storyboard or parts of any existing map, not even with permission of the creator.
- When choosing a song, the Artist permission section of the Content usage permission wiki page must be respected. Using songs that are explicitly disallowed by this section is disallowed.
- The selected song must clearly fall within the contest's theme.
- The submitted beatmap must have a drain time of at least 30 seconds.
