Drink plenty of water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, be physically active, get plenty of rest. Play a good mix of push maps and acc maps, focus on the latter on days youre not feeling peak.
Benchmark yourself every week or so on the patented bracket difficulty table

in my experience tensing arms is always helpful but fingers stay semi tense. my technique is pretty goodJKKO wrote:
Gaining speed in brackets is like gaining speed in jacks; it just takes time. Takes even longer the further you move up. Be consistent, that's the most important thing. Maybe ensure your technique is very good. You can always find ways to refine it. Remember to have 0 tension in your hand. If there's any tension, you'll lose speed. Don't lift your fingers off the keys. From personal experience, although it may not be all, even tensing my pinky loses me speed. Play with 10od, precision is very important, you don't want to manip brackets at all.
There is no point in tensing your arms. Brackets are solely in the fingers. That's a waste of stamina. You might be able to use a bit of wrist movement, but if it's dense, likely not. You'll find tense arms problematic when playing long stamina maps, so you should break out of the habit now. Not just for brackets, but for other patterns too. I'll say it again though, there's always something you can improve in your technique. Fingers should feel loose, and tapping should be soft. In the end, you'll just have to figure it out yourself. But there's always something you can improve. Experiment. I have heard someone recommending playing 4k with your middle and ring fingers. That could possibly help with gaining speed. You can try that if you want.Slowpoke1135 wrote:

I also play wrist up. Keeping your arms stable without tension is part of good technique. Shoulders should also be relaxed.Slowpoke1135 wrote:
i do wrist up so i tense arms as it helps. on wrist down im pretty sure it doesnt help
