How do I improve technicality and mechanics? In the last 1.5 months I haven't improved my speed at all. My bpm limit is: 125 chordjack, 115 dense chordjack, 130-140minijacks and speedjacks, 250 easy jumpstreams, 220 handstreams, and I don't even wanna talk about trills. I've been playing constantly since january when I started my mania journey and only improved finger control a bit and reading. I only have good days and bad days thats it. It feels like I've been playing mania wrong the whole time, I lack finger control on my right hand, like sometimes I wanna press and instead of bottoming out the switch, I lightly tap its keycap, feels like my finger doesn't want to go down even if my brain tells it to. I see other players do 8th, 9th, 10th dan with less hours, less rank than me and I aint even playing LN to say that "YEAH BUT YOU FARM LN AND RANKED", I have been playing tons of graveyarded. I hate how my effort's been going nowhere. I play any kinds of maps in hopes that I improve, I just get scores on maps that I'm already able or are at my limit, I can never get past this barrier. I never had more than two days be faster, if today I can do 130bpm chordjack, for the next week or so, I wont be able to do it anymore. Like I just wanna consistently improve and that improvement to stick with me. I've always thought that the phrase "play more" is bs but today I realised that everyone who says that is just gifted and has perfect genetics. If I knew my efforts are going to be useless then I wouldn't have picked up mania.

copy paste link to my advicr thread lol

idk much abt 4k but i think i might help. basically youre at a skill wall, which really sucks, i had a 2 month ish skill wall trying tk do 5 stars on 6k. i feel like a helpful piece of idea is to start playing songs with different accs in mind. i use to aim for S ranks byt now i aim for a few A ranks and hell even some 89s/88s help me improve at this point. you can also just learn a new keycount, dont give up whatever youre doing now just have anotger keycount to shift your attention as it may help 4k wall and also can help improve acc slightly.

well, I've been focusing on playing at my average nps lately. I used an application to record my key presses, I record my screen, and see what my average BPM/note presses are.

I just stick to that for awhile, pushing a little bit every so few maps. When I did focus on my max speed, I didn't really go anywhere. Just stuck in the same skill area.

As for map specific, say JS.. you can build up technicity through adding a few mini-jacks in the js, or playing more trilly files (which most broken stream will have). Though, I play a lot of dump.. So I can't guarantee how useful that will be.

Anyway, I comment this to hopefully give more ideas that could help you. They've certainly helped me out.
I will say that in some skillsets, you won't always improve every day with a linear progression. When you feel like you can't play some cj, maybe try some handstream. Anything, really. Improve there for a bit, build up pattern familiarity.

And of course, just have fun.

Careful your starting to sound like prism

OK you make a few good points but you haven't been playing long at all lol your actually pretty skilled and play more isn't some bs its just because the meaning behind it is explained terribly by the people who get it

Play more doesnt mean play 6 hours of the same map it means play more maps you find fun and explore yourself

Don't just mindlessly tap actually work on things and observe yourself

There's also tons of things you could do outside the game to increase improvement like stretches, diet, exercise, meditation,

I also find that trying out mods that make it harder and also other vsrgs is essential to getting new perspectives and getting better at the game take interlude, etterna, and quaver each one is unique and has different playstyles that improve one specific thing the best and they all are very fun to try

Also to get better sessions constantly try and retry new things its important to remember sometimes things won't work out just because its not the right time so if your ever hardstuck try again or look even deeper

I'm sounding like a prism because this is the truth, it's not like i'm lying, I cannot improve at anything quite literally, if its out of my body's reach then it will forever be impossible, been practing alpha speed and stamina daily and I see no improvement, the only thing I improved at is chordjack WITHOUT PRACTICING IT FOR A WHOLE MONTH SO I GUESS NOT PLAYING MAKES YOU BETTER ?? And tech because I really like tech. But the patterns in most speed maps make me sick, just look at freestylo 1.1 or makiba or dimension from ska, what are those patterns ? If you can do makiba you can even go for gamma speed unironically, this skillset is so bad. And also there is stamina which is just a test to see if you can do 270bpm+ js and 240bpm+ hs like it is one of the biggest barrier any osu player can encounter. At this point stamina is just a std stream on the left and a jump trill on the right at high bpm lol.

When you push for scores below an S and even low S you're pushing your skill ceiling, which is temporal, rusts easily, and is messy with poor accuracy, also develops poor muscle memory which will take you longer to correct

When you push for high accuracy scores you push your skill floor, which is long lasting, takes long to rust, is cleaner overall and develops good muscle memory

Use this info however you want
