hi i'm bored so i feel like writing this to encourage some cool ideas to emphasise the music
ok side note: mostly because people are complaining bad quality maps but have no definition of better quality anyways this post is merely just an idea giver to spark inspiration ok
DISCLAIMER: I'm randomly giving those pattern names cause idk lol thus they will sound inaccurate or slightly off from their actual depiction
i will give multiple example usage of how i used it in my maps to clarify its idea, the links are provided with its timestamp (navigate through the editor)
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE BASIC PATTERNS FIRST BEFORE PROCEEDING
if u find this useful make sure to share those ideas with others too!! i will add more ideas after i do some digging in my beatmaps cuz my beatmaps are a mess

Running out of ideas? Tired of using generic and predictable patterns? Don't want to be basic? Want to improve your creativity but don't know how? Try getting some inspiration from those ideas here! Who knows you might find something to spark your inspiration - EUREKA!
1. Staircase & Roll Pattern Variants
Swirly Long Notes
An unorthodox approach to emphasise the staircase patterns - the long notes were used as the stairs, while the hitnotes were used as the platform (chords)
Mostly used to replace generic staircase patterns

Z Staircase Burst
A short 1/6 staircase pattern used between chord/ triplets rather than generic stream styles, it is unconsciously a chordjack pattern if it were used between triplets, but perceived as an executable staircase pattern
Useful in using the 1/6 staircases to emphasise the music beats or vocals

Example Usage
Split X Rolls
A quick roll pattern is used in the middle of another roll's opposite side, not limited to 1/16, can be 1/12, but not on lower snaps
A pattern mostly used in emphasising the sounds during a linear beat, difficult to use, but uniquely interesting in general

2. Triangle Pattern Variants
Triangle Streams
Light streams, but it visually forms a triangle shape, can be used in reverse, not limited to 1/6, can be 1/4 or such
Used to emphasise pitch relevancy or music representation of volume

Split Triangle Rolls
Similar to Triangle Streams, but this pattern does not use jumpstreams and utilises ladder patterns to visually create a triangle on both sides
Another way to replace generic roll patterns

Example Usage
Heavy Sideway Triangle Jumpstream
A jumpstream with extreme density on its sides. This pattern is harder to execute due to its extreme one-handed trills
Mostly used to emphasise pitch relevancy through handstreams rather than using its pattern by default

3. Alphabetical Pattern Variants
"S" Pattern
A unique and unorthodox pattern that is difficult to use but intriguing to execute and appealing visually. The arc of the S depicts a density of your finger following the swirls (where the first two chords gave away the touch of starting off), which can also be used in a tailored or mirrored way
Heavy emphasis on pitch relevancy, appropriate to emphasise the start or the end of the verse, is a better factor to use if it's a piano verse

4. Lane Style Variants
3+1 Lane Style
Separating 4 lanes into 3 and 1 to emphasise the 3+1 lane style, typically played in 3K to emphasise the music while the 1K acts to emphasise the note beats
A very interesting step to emphasise multiple instruments without having to juxtapose all of the notes (generic way), the transition from 4K to 3K usually creates novelty to players due to 3K being unpopular. The 1K Lane can be emptied to emphasise a change from 4K -> 3K; the 1K can be implemented on any lane for the verse

2+2 Lane Style
Similar style to 3+1 except both sides are even, requires higher concentration in executing two different patterns simultaneously with both hands respectively
Mostly used to fit two patterns at the same time, useful in portraying the pattern variety

2+1+1 Lane Style
The style is similar in separating into 2 lanes with a long holding slider. Generally the 2nd or 3rd lane acts as the long holding slider while its adjacent lane serves to follow the song's beat, the remaining 2K emphasise the melody rather than the beat
An interesting way to offer the player a novel way to read two different lanes at the same time separately, with the 1K being the hit-on-beat lane

5. Jack Emphasis
Z Jacks
A pattern between 2 chords whilst two minijacks are folding one note, an easier patterning for minijacks
Unlike the long jack/ anchor pattern, this pattern is helpful in the pitch relevancy

Example Usage
3 Jacks Rule
Triple Duo-minijacks are aligned from one side to the other side. Has significant density balancing and control in executing jacks, mostly a way to use jack patterns without overwhelming the player's skillset
An unorthodox way to emphasise consecutive jacks or jumptrills, suitable for reducing the difficulty while keeping the jacks

Swirl
A pattern that visualises an 8-bit swirl using jacks and trills, not limited to solely a snap type
Used to emphasise jacks and the specific trills at the end, usually can be used in drops or emphasis in dubstep that has 3 notes anchor

Stacked Trills/ 3-Anchor Alternation
An extremely, overwhelmingly difficult pattern that utilises consecutive 3 notes anchor to create a pattern visualised as 3 jumptrills stacked together adequately in the middle. Not suggested to be used unless you are positive about using it.
This is a pattern guaranteed to be hated by the majority due to the 3 notes anchor/ jack, only you're certain that you have an angle on mapping a tech map if you're considering using this over generic jumptrill patterns, or else it's best to stick to the conventional jumptrill patterns or other alternatives over this.

Jack-in-Slider-End
A tricky pattern that requires both shield and jack skills to execute perfectly. Difficult in general due to both of the challenging patterns existing simultaneously
Mostly suitable to emphasise a key or the finishing sound after a long-winded sound, can be used to emphasise jacks as well

6. Long Note Emphasis
1/16 Inverse
A tricky pattern that could be utilised if used properly to emphasise the music, might be difficult for higher BPM songs
Mainly used in audible but soft verse musics like piano, can be used creatively in silent verses with vocals

7. Chord Emphasis
O Pattern Notes
Two notes are placed on both sliders' start and end, between 2 sliders, to form the shape of an O
A way to emphasise the generic chords without having to use the chords

Example Usage
Chord Increment
Use of an extra note for every chord used, typically long notes are the major and hithotes are the minor in music representation
Useful to emphasise bridge verses, build-up verses, or music increments that involve volume increments, the chord increments also emphasise the pitch relevancy, can be used in reverse

8. Tech Patterning
Crescent Moon
Basically a pattern looked like a crescent moon (see screenshot for clarification), not limited to 1/16, can be 1/12, as long as it forms a cubic curve
A tricky pattern mostly appropriate to emphasise dubstep music

Arc
Arc patterns are created using multiple snaps, typically 1/16, 1/12, and 1/8 graces, which are used most of the time in visualising a pixelated arc through the notes. Not limited to solely one snapping divisor, it is better to use 1/16 and 1/12 to portray a feeling of an executable curve pattern. Can be visualised through long notes as well
A pattern recommendation to anyone struggling to get the idea of creating tech maps, although most of the time arcs are not used constantly/ consistently. Aligning grace notes by a single snap divisor like 1/16, 1/12, or 1/8 was mostly seen on the majority of the tech maps

9. Hybrid Patterning
Equivalence of Slider and Chord
A pattern to emphasise the number of notes to be hit according to the number of subsequent sliders held at the same time
Most useful in emphasising with or without countdown drops or replacing roll patterns

Example Usage
Unending Slider Streams
A pattern that aims to continuously have another slider held after multiple sliders held subsequently and released simultaneously, despite the chords. See the screenshot for a better picture of the idea
Works well only if it fits with the music rhythm, generally more appropriate for rhythm rather than vocals

Stacked Jumptrills
Ever wonder if you can execute jumptrills with 6 fingers? This pattern utilises a change of tactics in executing stacked jumptrills, basically jumptrills overlap on top of every chord
This pattern is more of a trivial fun rather than a casually used pattern; only use it if you're positive about what you are doing

One-sided Anchor
Emphasis on the music beat through sideways anchors rather than generic chord juxtaposition
A great way to reduce the need to convey your idea solely on ordinary and overused stream patterns due to its unique sense in terms of hand density
