I swear it was a feature before, then it was changed at some point, people asked to get it back (if I remember correctly), it never made a return. So I want to give a deeper insight into why I really desperately want ("need"?) something like that back:
I usually play OSU for the "zone" feeling of flow. To think in all rhythm, silence spiralling thoughts, just exist on instinct and intuition for a while. When the world grows too noisy. I'm easily overcharged with sensory input. In that I feel and notice everything a lot more intensely than average humans. Never knew it was a thing until I stumbled on that actually being a thing.
Anyway, long context, summarized reason: Every song beginning in loud/hyper-active chorus/highlight moments just fries my brain when I want to scroll through my playlist to find the next song - and it more often than not tempts to just skip a song I usually like because it's too intense in that second.
So please, I absolutely get it's niche, and I'm not here for pity, just if it's not too difficult to code to move the entry point of songs (if toggled) then let this be a feature.
