It's what it says on the tin.

One poster gives a hypothetical decision, post below answers and gives own.

Poster 1: Would you push the button for 1,000,000,000$ but at a cost of crashing the economy or not?
Poster 2: I wouldn't, because if the economy crashes then money's worthless.
Become a scalie dragoon or become a furry lynx?
Poster 3: I hate to admit that it's a tough choice for me, but the first. (...)
And so on.

Anyways, same question as the hypothetical poster 2. Become a scalie dragoon or become a furry lynx?

Quite tough. I guess a dragon. No idea.

Watch a single movie, I don't watch films that much anyway.

All sauces become mayo or all mayo ceases to exist?
synthwavesquid
mayo ceases to exist, that's a whole lot of sauces gone otherwise

get a job with a 1 million USD annual salary and very good benefits and support (e.g. free high-quality and punctual healthcare including mental health) but it involves you being a vtuber with an extremely parasocial and stan-y fanbase (like "will try to mail you poisons and bombs every few months" levels)

OR

get a job with USD$85k annual salary in a field you enjoy (regular job environment and unimpressive benefits otherwise)

OR

a normal tree that grows a mango every month (water it once per day)

4 hours in a walk-in freezer

All media becomes magnitudes cheaper but piracy becomes a serious crime judged the same as murder or major robbery

OR

All copyright laws cease to exist
synthwavesquid
...considering getting away with piracy is way easier than getting away with murder, plus creators won't be getting screwed over by companies even more, i'd want to go with the second one

(granted, it may not be much better depending on what lets it be cheaper)

idk ideally i'd get rid of copyright laws but imo it'd be best done under the context of more serious systemic change. if everything else was the same that'd mean less protections. on the flipside copyright law also gets abused and used by companies to stamp down derivative works and large companies have the money to burn out anyone that goes after them......

be:

very good at constructing convincing arguments, but you're extremely stubborn when other people try to bring up points that don't match your prexisting knowledge (including entirely new information [to you it just isn't true/doesn't exist]) regardless of how good the point is

or

very good at understanding and retaining information regardless of format/source but you're never able to communicate this information to others in a way that will influence them
Sathryn
I'd choose Argumentative for the funny but that would make me insufferable to be around so realistically I'd choose Information Retaining because I have little influence over others anyways

Would you Rather:
A.) Be able to shift into any person's body, but your own body is gone, so you're basically a mind parasite?

or

B.) Be able to import someone else's consciousness into your own, but once you do it, they can import your consciousness as well?
Achromalia
both are interesting in many ways but are made tough by how ambiguous their compatibility would be with how i might have represented my "mind parasite" fantasy

in my interpretation assuming a non-exclusive multitude of consciousness, option a appeals deeply as long as im a passive/benign intruder and have minimal influence if any at all. it would be nice if i could rent my body out to other people who need it more instead of erasing it completely, but it presumably has no possessive consciousness beyond its own uncoordinated flesh once i acquire/share a different body

option b leaves "my" "me" in this body and other people will only be able to adopt/import an immature replica through who this "me" was at the time of importing. then, importing other people/selves may dilute/scramble/fragment this adjoinment consciousness, very likely a detriment to both theirs and mine. it may have an interesting variety of conditions/contexts depending on what this hypothesis implies

in essence, i prefer option a's nature and precision in consequence

be:

parented since birth solely by a scarcely-present older sibling who possesses sufficient conventional resources (except time and affection), which are withheld from you (to whatever extent is legally permissible in your regional jurisdiction) out of obstinately vehement resentment and distrust

or

fostered during adolescence by three moderately-present parents and five tight-knit siblings, under a shortage of conventional resources (especially assets and money and time) that is mitigated by a well-networked but thickly socially-obligatory culture, explicitly requiring you to assume collectively-convenient roles in the family but is otherwise accommodating to you
