So for years I've been wondering on how mapping actually works in osu mania because it seems like every object is placed randomly / everything feels like a badly converted map and I can't seem to understand any patterns or to what sound it's supposed to be mapped like I play other Mania like games (etterna and quaver) and there I have no problem playing at all cause every single object and pattern is timed to a sound that I can clearly hear for a rhythm but even after hundreds of maps I tried I haven't been able to find something that seems to be mapped to the song so what am I doing wrong? Is really everything just randomly placed? Do people use other MP3's while mapping and change them for the upload??? Like I really want to get into mania but as long as I don't have an answer to that question I won't be able to.

check audio offset and goof around on it and see if it helps
could be your skin idk. maybe lazer? not sure.
offset is good yeah, but it shouldn't change through modes lol.
yeah I can only think of skin being the problem. might behave differently in mania, I have absolutely no clue

Hit position changes I think?
but id still be synced. he would see in his hit error bar or even just accuracy and MA/PA that hes hitting early or late. i could tell this man to try my skin (which i have made SURE the receptors are perfectly accurate with normal notes amd LN release) and hed have same issue probablyGamesnake7 wrote:

I couldn't find time over the week to check back here, but I will give the skin a try. I actually also have troubles finding a decent skin in Mania since I have really weird preferences, so I will give an update after trying a bit around.👍Slowpoke1135 wrote:
