TUYU Cup 2025 is an international 2v2 5 digit osu! standard tournament
This tournament is made for the TUYU Fan Discord server although it is open for everyone
This tournament is also unbadged since it is my basically first tournament
2v2, team size 3 and double eliminaton
10k-100k BWS rank range with players within the teams able to sign up as low as rank 8k (average of the team has to be within the 10k-100k threshold)
All published times will be posted in UTC+0

Registrations: January 1st - January 25th
Screening: January 26th - February 2nd
Qualifiers: February 3rd - February 9th
Swiss Stage: February 14th - March 24th
Round of 32: February 14th - February 17th
Round of 16: February 21st - February 24th
Quarterfinals: February 28th - March 3rd
Semi-finals: March 7th - March 10th
Finals: March 14th - March 17th
Grand Finals: March 21st - March 24th

You have to play for the team you signed up with, you can change your team members until the signup period ends
Make sure to always uphold the osu! community rules and be a nice sport to other players
Be aware that the host can and will probably punish you for undermining the tournament, sandbagging or generally playing the tournament in a non intended way or being disrespectful to staff
If you get restricted mid tournament the team can continue to play as long as there are enough players left, otherwise the team will be disqualified, if the restriction has to do with cheating in the tournament then the entire team will be disqualified
Follow instructions from staff
If a host suspects cheating we might request you to prove your innocence, if you refuse you will be disqualified
For as long as you haven't been eliminated from the tournament you have to be in the discord server
Don't get on the bus to the other world

☔ Registration ☔

Staff is not allowed to play with the exception of artists, streamers and commentators.
If you have been eliminated from the tournament you can still apply to help staff the tournament.
If you missed the signup period you are unable to participate without exceptions.
If one of your team members is outside of the rank range then this player will be removed from the team, if the team no longer has enough players to participate it will be disqualified.
You cannot switch team members after the sign up period ends so make sure to be aware of your ranks.

☔ Free Agent Registration ☔

If you are a free agent we will try to team you up with other free agents in a similar time zone
It might be possible that we can't create a free agent team for you, in either case this will be announced in the discord server
You are allowed to create a team of free agents before the registrations end, make sure to convey this to either a tournament host or admin to notify them of the team so we can remove everyone from the free agent list

☔ Qualifier/Match procedure ☔

During qualifiers the matches will be played Head to Head with ScoreV2 and NF enabled
The top 32 will continue in the rest of the tournament, seeding is based on the average score
Every team has one attempt to play the qualifiers which they need to schedule themselves
Qualifiers will be played in order starting with NM1 and ending with TY1
If a player disconnects mid match they are allowed to replay the match at the end of the lobby
The player that disconnected will have to replay the match, the player can't be switched unless the player is unable to play
Abusing this or disconnecting more then once per map will result in a score of 0, this is up to the discretion of the referee within reason
Every team has to choose 2 players that will play the map, if your team exists out of 3 members you can switch players between maps
All teams can schedule their own qualifiers and we'll try to assign a referee to the lobby, if this is not possible you will have to reschedule your qualifier lobby

Qualifier timers

If you are more than 5 minutes late to your lobby you will have to reschedule
Teams have 120 seconds to switch players and ready up between maps

Match procedures

Async matches are not allowed
Team captains get a ping 10 to 15 minutes before their match is supposed to start by a referee
If you don't get this notification please try to get your referees attention and make sure they are available
If you're 5 minutes late you forfeit your ban(s) and if you're 10 minutes late you forfeit the match
If both teams decide to reschedule due to unexpected circumstances then common sense will be applied.
All matches are played in TeamVS with ScoreV2 and NF
If a player disconnects during the first 30 seconds of the map because of technical issues then the map can be replayed
This is only allowed once per team per map
If more disconnects happen that player will get a score of 0
Abusing this rule or disconnects happening too often can result in the referee counting a point for the other team or disqualification
Rolls and bans must be submitted by the captain after the referee tells them to
If the captain is unavailable a different player will be appointed as team captain for this match
Picks can be submitted by all members of a team

Warm ups

Each team can pick 1 warmup map
The map has to be under 5 minutes and can't be in the mappool

Rolling

Team captains will roll once when the referee asks them to and the team that rolls higher can decide the pick or ban order and the other team will decide the remaining order
During a tie both captains will reroll until the tie is broke

Bans

The ban order is ABBA
Double bans are not allowed
Teams have 90 seconds to choose a ban

Picks

Double picks are not allowed with the exception of NM picks
Teams have 90 seconds to choose a ban

Timers & Timeouts

Pick, ban and ready up timers are all 90 seconds
The referee can enforce these timers however they think is best for the situation within reason
When a team is not ready or hasn't sent their pick or ban within the time the referee can decide to give you a punishment
Initially a warning should be given with a little bit of extra time to get ready
If this happens again or the team still isn't ready the ban can be forfeited or the opposing team will be allowed to pick, this does not affect the pick order (meaning a team might be able to pick 3 maps in a row)
If this repeatedly happens then a point can be awarded to the opposing team
