how to improve on LN/hybrid??

i have around 4.6* skill level on all skill sets EXCEPT LN/hybrid which are probably like 3*
whenever i see a long note in the middle of regular notes my accuracy just tanks and i dont know how to deal with it
how do i improve / what beatmaps can i play to improve on them? it's becoming much harder to play because now i see that i actually need to be able to play them to get a somewhat high accuracy

im kinda sorry all i can say is "play more" but thats kinda all i can say, just play more LN

i have the same issue on 4K except way worse (at worst, it was 4.5 star level with <2 star LN) so what i did is play an inverse LN pack and got better at inverse LN. ALWAYS PLAY BOTH INVERSE AND NOT INVERSE tgat is very important i have learnt from my mistake. anyways now for 4K its like 4.8star and 3 star LN and whilst i should fix it im just gomma focus on 6K because its just more fun and 6K ln and non ln is going a lot better with 3.5 star non LN and >3 star LN

For me, I first focus on where the LN starts, treating it like a normal note kinda. From there, I check how long it is. If it's like a quarter-note long I kinda just tap it like normal, albeit there may be some exaggeration in my release.
If it's longer with no near release, I'll check what other notes and LNs I need to hit while holding it, tho this can get confusing with full LN.
If it's longer but with a relatively near release time, it's probably because it's a part of some sort of pattern which you need to keep your tapping timing right.
If it's shorter... yea I do not like fast releases one bit, but just try to tap and release rapidly I guess.

A bit hard to say. I'm assuming right now that they're just psyching you out right now. I suggest sending the links to the maps you played so I have a better idea of what instance such pattern occurs that's trippy. Right now, I can think of a 5* map (beatmapsets/2261727#mania/4814030) that does it constantly in quite a few variations. As well, I can think you're referring to songs where the vocals are LN and then the instruments are normal notes.

If you need maps, I'd recommend finding a few tournaments (ongoing or finished) and just download the map pools. They usually start off easy and get more difficult, so you'll have a pretty large range, and they'll give you maps for practically every skillset

Also turning on the SV2 mod is great for LN practice since it actually judges your release time

But yeah like slowpoke said, the rest is just playing more and finding out what works best for you
