Welcome to the Taiko Mapping Contest hosted by the CIS Taiko Beatmapping Events server for the entire Taiko community!
In this event mappers will compete at their ability to create maps for the osu!taiko gamemode. You can follow the event process and check the future ones in our Discord Server!
General Information:
- Choose one out of 10 Christmas songs and make a map for the song!
- This event will be lasting for 27 days (December 2-28). Mapping stage will end at December 14 17:00 utc+0.
- The reward for the 1st place is 4 months of osu!supporter, a badge* (Pending) and progressing a map in the ranked section** (more info below), 2nd place - 2 months of osu!supporter, 3rd place - 1 month of osu!supporter.

- Map difficulty is Inner Oni (or higher).
- If the map is shown or submitted before the end of the event (screenshot/video/.osz/.osu e.t.c.) the entry will be disqualified.
- While submitting your entry "CTBE" needs to be used as a Beatmap Creator (CTBE is already set after you download an .osz file).
Recommendations:
- Change a difficulty name at your will, preferable something Christmas-related.
- Change a beatmap's background to something Christmas-related.

Event Process
02.12 is a start of the contest. You have to send your finished map until the December 14th in Discord PMs to me (lenkon). After that your map will get an unique code that will be sent to judges. At December 14th maps will be sent for judging and the results will be announced at December 28th
Judging Criteria
Categories are judged on 10 point scale. The final category score is calculated by the following formula: judge X's final score = (judge X's raw score - judge X's average raw score) / judge X's standard deviation
Grading scale:
0 - 1 -> It's just not there, although it should be.
2 - 3 -> This is ignored
4 - 6 -> It was mediocre / average
7 - 8 -> Good job
9 - 10 -> Masterpiece performance
Quality - Describes how well your map is generally made by the main aspects such as structure, rhythm, SV and the other
Creativity - The use of unique solutions in mapping.
Playability - How well your map plays and provides readability while avoid technical issues
Judge Impression - How big of an impact your map provides to the judges.
Ranking Criteria - How suitable your map is to the osu!taiko Ranking Criteria

Prizes
1st place - 4 months of osu!supporter (Equivalent of 16$), Badge* (Pending), Beatmap's progression to the ranked section**.
2nd place - 2 months of osu!supporter (Equivalent of 8$)
3rd place - 1 month of osu!supporter (Equivalent of 4$)
If you don't have an opportunity to get money by russian transition services it's still possible to accept it on your Steam balance (foreign players only). But we must warn you that it goes with the commission fee of 20 to 35%
*Badge - Under the condition that at least 10 entries will be submitted and the event is getting an official support by the osu! tournament committee.
**Beatmap's progression to the ranked section - Only map from this event. Me and Ryxliee will become Beatmap Nominators for your map and have a standard ranking process. If your map is ready to go to the ranked section it gets qualified until the new year. If some changes need to be applied to the map then there's no deadline.
