[STD] North America Tournament 2022 | 1v1 | NA Only | Open Rank | Concluded (Utami Wins!!)

  1. This is a 1v1 osu!standard tournament open to players of all ranks.
  2. Players who have a flag on their profile from a country in North America are the only ones allowed to participate.
  3. All matches shall be played using Head to Head, ScoreV2.
  4. The top 32 players from qualifiers shall move onto a double-elimination bracket stage.
  5. All scheduling will be done in UTC. Find your timezone along with conversions here.
  6. All reschedules must be submitted before 23:59 UTC, Friday the week a round is due to happen. Reschedules beyond that point will only be accepted on a case-by-case basis in extenuating circumstances.
  7. Players are required to join the Discord for this tournament before the end of registration or else their registration is void.
  8. Staff are prohibited from playing in the tournament with the exception of streamers, commentators, and GFX artists.


  1. All players are expected to treat staff and other participants with a high level of respect. Any mistreatment or abuse in match or through Discord (this includes, but is not limited to: harassment, extreme toxicity, racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, etc.) WILL NOT be tolerated. Sufficient punishment will be given accordingly.
  2. Forfeiting two matches without prior notice/valid reasoning or dropping out of the tournament after qualifying because “you didn’t want to play anymore" or for any other non-emergency reason, will have you added to the watchlist and prohibited from entering the next iteration.
  3. Where rules do not prevail, common sense shall. Administration has explicit discretion to apply their judgement on issues as they see fit.

Qualifiers Procedures:


  1. Qualifiers will be used to determine seeding for bracket stages.
  2. The mappool will consist of 11 maps (4 NM / 2 HD / 2 HR / 3 DT) and shall be played ONCE, starting from NM1 and ending in DT3.
  3. In order to keep lobbies running smoothly, 90 second timers shall be used between maps for players to ready up.
  4. If a player fails to join their lobby 5 minutes after the scheduled time, they may choose to play the maps they missed at the end of the lobby (with the referee's permission) or reschedule to another lobby.
  5. Following qualifiers, the top 32 players will move onto a double-elimination bracket stage and shall be seeded using power seeding (#1 vs #32, #2 vs #31, etc.)

Match Procedures:


  1. A referee will create a lobby before the scheduled match time and invite the players.
  2. Players are expected to show up to matches on time. It is a player's responsibility to come prepared for the match. If a player comes unprepared, the referee may use their judgement as they see fit.
  3. If a player fails to join the match 5 minutes after the scheduled match time, they will lose their roll, protect, and ban(s).
  4. If a player fails to join the match 10 minutes from the scheduled match time, they will forfeit.
  5. There are no warmups.
  6. Players will roll for picks and bans. The winner of the roll may choose pick order or protect/ban order. The loser will choose the remaining order. (Ban order and protect order are combined meaning if a player chooses to ban second, they also protect second.)
  7. Players have 1 protected map each round. Protected maps cannot be banned but can be picked by either player.
  8. There are no restrictions on picks and bans.
  9. For Ro32 and Ro16, players will have 1 ban. Quarterfinals and onwards, players will have 2 bans. Ban system for 2 bans shall be ABAB.
  10. Players will have 90 seconds for protects/bans, should they fail to choose one within that time, they will lose their protect/ban.
  11. Players will have 90 seconds for picks, should they fail to choose one within that time, the pick will be randomly picked through the !roll command.
  12. Once a map is picked, players will have 90 seconds to ready up. Once the timer is finished, the referee will force start the map.
  13. Tiebreakers are played with FreeMod enabled, however, do not require a player to use a mod. (NF is still enforced.)
  14. In the event of a disconnection, an abort/replay may be called if it occurred within the first 30 seconds of the map. Other than that, common sense will be applied. If proof exists of the disconnected player's score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), it will be used. If it is at all ambiguous, the other player will get the point. Each player is granted one replay per match.
  15. Disconnections are considered to be unexpected, game-breaking events out of a player’s control (i.e. keyboard/tablet/mouse malfunction, system failure, internet disconnect, etc). Offset, background dim, leaderboard presence, etc. ARE NOT considered valid reasons to call for an abort/replay as players may fix these on their own time.

*A week buffer is in place for players going to cavoe’s osu! event held August 1 - August 7

what days and times are matches usually taken place? i wanna register but idk if my work schedule would conflict too much :(
