Welcome to the first German Duo Cup!

2v2, teams of 2
osu!std, scorev2, teamvs
every teams captain must have a german, austrian or swiss profile flag and must be able to communicate in german. Player 2 of every team must not have a german, austrian or swiss profile flag - this tournament will be played by one german/austrian/swiss + one international player
open rank
if there are more than 32 teams registered, there will be a qualifier stage where the top 32 teams will advance to the bracket stage
any form of racism, toxicity or hostility towards staff and other players is strictly prohibited, and may results in a ban from the tournament
we may reject any registrations (i.e. suspicious profile/offensive team name) if deemed necessary
BOTH players must join the German Duo Cup 2021 Discord and change their nicknames to their osu! username by the time registrations end
staff members are not allowed to participate excluding streamers and commentators
all times will be listed in Universal Time Coordinated (UTC+0)
until the end of qualifiers, every team has the opportunity to post a team flag in the #flags channel you can design yourself [(size=140x94) if the flag is found to be inappropriate, we will not accept it)]. If you dont want a personal flag, we will take the country flag shown on the non-german players profile

qualifier rules

qualifiers will be played in ScoreV2
every team will play the entire mappool once in a lobby they get invited to by a referee
each map will have its own leaderboard ordered by total score, and the team's overall placement for the qualifiers will be determined by the average of these ranks.
the top 32 teams of the qualifiers will advance to the bracket stage
the resulting bracket will be top seed vs bottom seed (1st vs. 32nd, 2nd vs. 31st, and so on)

match rules

all maps will be played with NoFail (please select it yourself on FM and TB )
the bracket stage is in a double-elimination format (there will be a loser bracket and a team is eliminated after 2 losses)
there will be a bracket reset if the winner of the loser bracket wins against the winner of the winner bracket in grand finals
if you want to reschedule, you must send a screenshot of both players agreeing in the #reschedule channel.
Please try to reschedule at least 24 hours before the new time
if the team fails to show up after 10 minutes of the scheduled time, they will lose their bans. If the team fails to show up after 15 minutes, they will be granted a loss by default
both teams have one warmup each (max 5 minutes, no earrape and nothing that can result in a ban)
after warmups, both captains roll. the highest roll decides whether they want first ban/second pick or second ban/first pick
if 2 bans are allowed, you may not ban 2 maps from the same mod pool (excludes NM)
double picking is not allowed (excludes NM)
every pick must be selected within 2 minutes, otherwise the ref can give the pick to the enemy team
for FM: each team must select at least one HD and one HR (1st player HDHR, 2nd player NM or 1st player HR, 2nd player HD)
