The BPM is consistent throughout the whole map except the end, so once you understand which rhythm is being emphasized, you can "play the song."
The end is just a continuous slowdown, so it isn't impossible to read. Plus, the patterns and spacing in that section are done in a way to make it much more readable than it would normally be.
The map isn't unfair and you don't just "end up hunting for only circles," it is simply very difficult. It is a kind of difficulty that is very rarely seen in a ranked map, which I think should change.
