---------------
OCRemix of the Ice Field music from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Finished Normal difficulty and changed offset as per Inozuma's suggestion.
Added v2b's changes.

Un-graveyarded, minor change to Insane
Changed a bunch of stuff NatsumeRin found; slightly reduced Normal difficulty
Inozuma
Insane was very fun, and I found the end awesome :D

I just think offset should be at 17 468.

Well, good luck for oter diffs.

Going from 26,196 to 17,468 is several beats; do you mean change just the offset, or change it and scale/resnap? I have to admit I'm not too familiar with how everything in the timing panel works. If I change the offset for the first section and scale, it doesn't make any changes to the subsequent timing sections and I end up with two sets of notes playing on top of each other, which is very odd.

Okay, I changed the offset and finished Normal, so hopefully it's ready for approval.
v2b
Insane:
00:18:83 (2,3,4) - I think 1/6 beats is better here

00:21:01 (1,2,3) - ^

00:28:10 (4,5,6) - too close,use 1.0x DS
01:22:92 (4) - new combo
01:23:46 (1) - remove new combo
01:40:78 (6) - new combo here
02:00:69 (4) - new combo?(coz you use newcombo at 01:44:74 (1)
02:02:19 (4) - ^

awesome!
I cant believe it's your first map

Good points, all. Dunno how I missed the timing on those first two combos...

Actually, what really weirds me out about this song is that everywhere I've mapped 1/6 notes, if you listen at 50% speed the song's actually playing 1/8. Unless you slow it down like that it REALLY sounds like 1/6, though.
I didn't even notice that it wasn't technically supposed to be 1/6 until I was pretty much finished with the map, and judging by your and Inozuma's reactions I'm not the only one who intuitively feels the song in triplets, not quartets.

...Given how no one so far has noticed it unless I point it out to them, and the fact that 1/8 stacks at 110 BPM are impossibly fast, I figured in this case it makes more sense to map what's intuitive over what's absolutely note-correct. Hopefully the BATs agree. ^^;

Wow, I must say, this is quite an impressive first map. Everything just feels so natural and flowing, which is what I look for in the map. The only thing I might say is that I'm not sure I like the mixing of slow and fast sliders in Insane, but I think this is a personal preference thing.

How do you mean, exactly? The beginning is slow sliders, and as soon as the song picks up it's fast sliders for the rest of the map, with the only exception being the long one at 1:07:649. I'm not a fan of unpredictable speed changes either, but IMO the speeds are mapped to the song pretty straightforwardly...

Red: You must fix this.
Blue: You'd better do sth with this imo.
Green: Just suggestions.

[General]
delet .osb file and re full-submit.
cut the mp3 if you won't map the whole song.
set a preview point

[Normal]
i'm not sure if a [Normal] should have 1/4 circles, and my opinion:no. (example:00:41:196 (2,3,4))
01:32:059 (1) - remove new combo?
02:00:559 (2) - try to make this symmetrical?
02:02:196 (4) - new combo
02:10:923 (1,1,1) - ...why so many spinners? can you think of other ways instead? and they're a bit loud compared to the music.
02:27:287 (1) - break after this note is too short, remove plz.
it's a great [Hard] diff imo...

[Insane]
some of the notes are not snapped, have a look at AIMod(ctrl+shift+A) and fix them.
slider tick rate: 1
01:57:832 (5,6,7) - not perfect stacked.
02:00:696 (1) - remove new combo
02:36:468 (3,1) - spacing?

so good as your first beatmap. after several mods, i think you can PM deepsea to mod your map and give you a bubble, he accepts virgin and old maps lol~ star~

Ugh. Is this actually a requirement for ranking? It absolutely drives me insane when people do this. It shows no respect for how the song was written to be heard, and plus re-encoding destroys the sound quality. :(

Yeah I've been kinda wondering about this too. I went through and removed most of them, but left a couple that were in pretty intuitive, low-difficulty areas.
It's still a pretty difficult Normal, but it's definitely too easy for Hard I think...

I kinda like them there, but yeah they're a bit odd. I'm gonna wait and see what other modders think before changing anything. The problem is, the only thing happening in the song at that point is the drums, and the drums are in 1/6, which is probably way too confusing for a Normal.
You're right about the volume though. If I don't end up removing them I'll definitely change that.

02:27:287 (1) - break after this note is too short, remove plz.
...Yeah I have no idea what I was smoking there XD
it's a great [Hard] diff imo...
As I said above, it seems pretty easy for a Hard IMO, especially now that I took out a bunch of 1/4th notes...
Have to see what other people think I guess... :|

Wow weird. No idea how that happened... Thanks.
slider tick rate: 1
I have to disagree on this one. Setting it to 1 takes a lot of energy out of the beginning, particularly on the long, slow sliders. Makes them just plain boring, IMO. Also, just as a matter of preference I really dislike the recent trend towards sliders with no/almost no ticks in them. I much prefer a smaller margin of error on sliders; makes you actually pay attention to following them correctly. Plus I really think it sounds better in this case.
01:57:832 (5,6,7) - not perfect stacked.
Wow good eye. Fixed.
02:00:696 (1) - remove new combo
This is the same place you told me to ADD a new combo on the Normal diff. :P
Anyway I like it this way.

02:36:468 (3,1) - spacing?
The spacing is correct, actually. That red stack is in 1/6, so the distance from 3 to 1 is a little shorter. I could move the slider start so that the three 1/6ths are stacked on top of it, but I really want them to stand out so people don't miss the fact that they're 1/6 and get confused. I did a lot of tweaking with the combos to make sure that particular stack is red, too, for the same reason.
