i heard that the note speed in mania is based on a song's bpm. but the bpm could be so high and makes the player change the speed everytime he/she plays that song. but what if the song spams high-speed notes on the start of the song, and it has a really big hp drain, how is the user suppossed to change the speed in a matter of seconds before the hp hits zero.
so I propose to base the note speed according to the slider velocity. This value could be the multiplier for the note speed. This means that most maps (since most maps have a slider velocity of something near 1 which is the default) will follow the player's regular playing speed.
