Second map I'm working on. Special thanks to LeftyRighty for helping me out with the BPM and offset. Also thanks to EmiyaShirou for stopping me from overmapping my map.
Hard Difficulty: 100% done (still working on fixing up pretty much everything)
Added combobursts and section pass and fail.
Working on repairing the normal and hard difficulities.

  1. you should avoid starting or ending sliders at blue line as far as possible. not suit to rhythm, imo
    you should base white line (1/1 rhythm) when setting notes
  2. 00:16:300 (2,3) - in this case, blanket is better
  3. 00:20:800 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3) - I recommend to conform DS becase of same rhythm
  4. 00:33:400 (3,4,5,6) - how about this?
  5. 00:34:525 (5) - start at 00:34:600 and it is interesting to reduce SV(Slider Velocity)
  6. 00:37:600 (1,2) - in this case, it is better to blanket each other
  7. 00:37:600~00:49:300- many sliders are overlapping. it's not good
  8. 00:49:600 (1,2,3,4) - increase DS more
  9. 01:00:325 (5) - not suit to rhythm
  10. 01:04:000~01:07:450- very difficult to find rhythm. I recommend to conform DS
  11. 01:13:600~01:22:600 - several sliders are ignored white line (1/1 rhythm). is it correct?

Normal diff:

00:20:500 (7) - This note seems a bit difficult to follow for normal players

00:30:850 (2,3) - These notes are offbeat by 1/4th or so

00:32:200 (1,1,2,3) - Lyrics to beat to lyrics could cause some trouble. (maybe?)

I really should play Rewrite, I heard it was awesome.

Again, I'm pretty new to modding, so feel free to treat everything below as suggestions. For some things, I'd recommend asking a few other people about it before you actually implement it.

[General]

I would recheck timing...I get an abnormally large amount of 100s when playing your hard difficulty. You could lower the OD to 6 though, but I would still recheck timing.

[Hard]

Generally, vary up your patterns and beats. Try using more sliders sometimes. Also, try using distance snap more often.

Maybe decrease the slider ticks? There seems to be too many of them for a hard.

00:16:300 (2,3) - Align these so that the 2nd note falls in the middle of the 3rd slider, looks better imo
00:22:000 (1,2,3) - Check distance snap
00:28:000 (1,3) - Either try blanketing these two sliders, or move them apart so they don't overlap.
00:40:000 (1,8) - Around here, it would be kinda cool if you followed the piano part while mapping
00:56:800 (7) - Add New Combo
00:58:000 (1) - Remove NC
00:59:200 (3) - Add NC
01:04:000 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - This part and the same patterns after it are hard to read for a "hard" difficulty. Consider distance snapping this!
01:10:450 (4,1) - This jumps feels out of place

01:44:138 (1) to 02:18:257 (3) - For this entire section, the HP drain is too high. When people play with HR, they're going to die here. Consider either adding more objects, decreasing overall HP drain, or adding more new combos. You could consider following the vocals here rather than the bass to fix this problem. You might want to ask some others before doing this.

02:25:300 (6,7) - Try to align these with the previous pattern to look better
02:29:200 (7) - Add NC
03:45:400 (4) - Try to align that note with the previous pattern

04:19:300 (5,6,7,8) - Spacing is weird, use distance snap

Once again, vary up your patterns a bit! A lot of your hard are just continuous notes every white tick (01:51:757 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7)) or every white and red tick (03:18:700 (10)). Use sliders some more wherever they fit the music - you don't always have to follow one music line (in this case, I think you're following the bass a lot. Try following the vocals more? Just a suggestion though, you might want to ask some others before doing this.)

[Normal]

00:59:800 (2,1) - The lack of objects between these two notes is kind of awkward, consider mapping stuff there
01:14:200 (2,3) - Use distance snap here
01:20:800 (5) - Add NC
01:27:700 (6,1) - The lack of objects between these two notes is kind of awkward, consider mapping stuff there
02:03:154 (6) - Add NC
02:11:658 (1,2,1,2) - Consider changing these to sliders
03:30:100 (1) - Shorten this slider by one tick so that it's a 1/4 slider, and then repeat it for the same length as the original slider. I think it fits the rhythm better.
03:32:500 (3) - Add NC
03:42:100 (1,3) - Either put the 3rd note where the 1st slider ended, or move it so they don't overlap.
03:49:000 (5) - Same as the hard difficulty, apply a similar fix here.

By the way, I love the song from 3:01 to 4:11. Is there a specific name for the song that corresponds with this section, or is this all original? If there is an original, tell me! I wanna hear the original!

00:19:622 (1,2,3) - how bout use 1/2 sliders instead
00:21:722 (4,5) - stack?
00:20:822 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2) - this part is messy. like the triangles aren't consistent and 00:22:022 (1,2) - is not distance snapped
00:22:022 - i see no reason to change distance snap here
00:25:622 (1,2) - space out
00:26:072 (2,3) - give it a better blanket
00:25:622 (1) - why is this using the old slider algorithm, remake to make the curve better?
00:34:622 (5) - ^
00:28:472 (2,3) - why the jump
00:30:872 (2) - end this on the red tick?
00:42:422 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - honestly these patterns can get boring, try different patterns and don't put so many consecutive circles unless its a stream.

Fix up some of your curved sliders
Also this map feels very rigid.. try using like some more slider slight curves and have less of an angle between circles.
Also, just put more sliders in general. Circles are good for jumps and stuff in between but don't spam them

00:16:022 (1,2,3,4) - not stacked well at the end. A trick a wise man once taught me is to ctrl + g them, stack, then ctrl + g back
also maybe have them curve this way? better flow imo

00:37:622 (1,2,3,4) - try this kind of patter in harder difficulties
00:41:822 (4,5) - stack?
00:55:622 (3) - avoid repeating more than once

01:00:422 (1) - use a few 1/4 sliders instead of 1/2

Make your map Neater and less rigid. Also recheck some of your spacing.

Thanks! I checked out what you mentioned and fixed some things. I was worried about the whole mature content thing before but if a map about "teaching the world to fap" can get ranked then why can't mine? lol

Lack of hitsounds

Hard

Errr.....where are the hitsounds?

00:34:022 - this feels empty. Add a slider from 00:34:022 to 00:34:322
00:51:872 - add a note here to map perfectly to the music
01:00:422 (3) - this doesn't fit the music here, this kind of pattern would be better:
01:02:072 - add a note
01:02:822 (1,2,3) - place them further away from 01:02:522 (4) - do not even let them overlap, the current spacing doesn't fit as 01:02:522 (4) isn't part of the following sequence
01:14:822 (3,4) - blanket
01:30:422 (1) - should technically end at 01:32:800
02:01:737 (1) - remove new combo
02:03:154 (4) - NC
02:03:626 (1) - remove NC
02:25:600 (7) - NC
02:26:800 (1) - remove NC
02:31:000 (1) - the path of the slider is not clear as the 2 ends are fused to each other. This is unrankable and the pathway of the slider must clear as to where you have to move
02:38:875 (1) - remove one repeat and start on 02:38:950 - it is off rhythm right now

Not really going into detail for this one

00:22:622 (4,1) - inconsistent spacing, not really good for such a difficulty. Another example is 00:30:422 (1,2) - yes, you can change DS if appropriate, but not every 4~6 objects and suddenly a random different spacing and then reverting back to same DS and then suddenly changing again to another spacing this time. Haphazard spacing isn't good and it lowers the quality of a map because it gives a poorer impression to others.
00:31:247 (3) - shift to 00:31:322
00:33:347 (3) - end at 00:34:022
01:04:022 - shift the break line to here
02:14:020 - do not have breaks like this in kiai time, kiai time stands for a portion of the song that needs to be highlighted after all, map this part

Insane

The vocal and music at the parts like 03:01:900 - 03:04:300 - 03:06:700 are important and should be mapped to, leaving a gap there leaves an awkward drop in rhythm and halts flow in patterns ( 03:11:500 - 03:13:900 - need I say more etc etc etc.)




Really hope to see much improvement for this song.

Hey Neonat, thanks for the mod. I kinda wasn't expecting a mod from you after how long it's been since I commented in your newcomer forum lol. Oh well haha. Well you're pretty much right about the hard diff being really messy right now and I'm working on fixing it. Your mod seems spot on and I already fixed some of the stuff you mentioned. ^^

I'm pretty much stuck trying to see the maps posted 1-2 months ago to see what are still in Pending or wip lol. At least so far I think I looked at 40 songs, though there are still 2 mote pages before I even think about opening it again. If the map was still being worked on I don't see why not I still take a look and give feedback, since that was the reason why they posted in my queue lol.

Anyway, if you wouldn't mind me rechecking in the future, I think I would be able to once you organise the mapset again.
