Design Notes (read before modding please):
  1. Ouendan difficulties are mapped in a completely lyrics-based manner. Patterns were meant to be reminiscent of authentic maps, mainly inspired by VISTA, Julia no Shoshin and BANG! BANG! Vacance.
  2. This is made easy on purpose for the new and/or less able players, being part of my endeavour for new player rights.
    1. By modern osu! standards, this is probably one Easy and two Normals.
  3. Difficulty titles are derived from respective character names from Genji Monogatari, the source of thematic inspiration of this song.
    1. Tamakazura (Yuugao's daughter) < Yuugao (a female in the story, as mentioned in title) < Hikaru Genji (protagonist).
  4. Other tag explanations:
    1. moonflower = literal translation of Yuugao / 夕顔, included for the sake of completeness
    2. Keiichi Okabe / 岡部啓一 = composer, nicknamed (and reflected in SongIDs) bko
    3. Hana Kikuchi / 菊地はな = lyricist, part of design group BUKKORO
    4. Murasaki Shikibu / 紫式部 = author of Genji Monogatari
  5. Suggest about intrusive whistle hitsound and combo colors. Will love them.

- Try to start all the diff on the same spot :D you added your offset on 00:00:142 - , so can't u start map the standard diff there? it isn't hard to map the start :3 dont be lazy meh xDD

- I see 2 Taiko no Tatsujin - Yuugao no Kimi (mattyu007).osb on your songfolder, you take that from other map or what? remove it from your song folder

- The map whole of it good :D but, imo its too boring and monotone for newbies nowadays, but there is something hard too on the back of the song. Imo its not balanced enough o3o

01:56:392 (5) - curve this, too much linear slider, tries to curve the slider untill the end of the slider form a polygonal shape with 01:54:517 (3,4)
01:58:267 - add a different slider velocity on an easy difficulties is just too hard, keeps it 1.0x please. I also don't see anything special with 1.5x on that part :)

[Normal]
- all of your problem are too much linear pattern and linear slider, please change it to other pattern, there is so much pattern you can choose, like curve, pentagon etc

[Hard]
- this is the hardest difficulty in standard, at least, make it harder, like Hard+

00:18:423 - add a note here, or add a 1/2 note , of course delete 00:18:657 (1) -
00:22:876 (2,4) - try to curve it, you see (2)'s slider end touch the 00:20:767 (3)'s slider, so curve (2) untill it not touches together xD

00:30:142 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - you should try add another pattern :( you copy-paste a lot
01:14:673 - add a note here, should fit in with a soft-finish or normal-finish, both sounds good
01:43:618 (2,3,4,5,6) - place this on other place, it touch the previous slider , and make it more far distance, too easy for the hardest diff

[Futsuu]
- This difficulty is too hard for a Futsuu, its like a Muzu in an easy way. in Futsuu, there is only 1/1 notes and a bit 1/2 notes.

[Muzu]
- use 2 pattern in a verse, so it doesn't make boring at all

Preliminary comment: The Ouendan diffs are part of my endeavour to return to the good old days of INis' DS titles of less uniform stock rhythm. The set surrounds a lot around VISTA, BANG BANG Vancances and Julia no Shoushin maps
Also *rubs forehead* arrrrgh which part of authentic did you not catch? Futsuu, Muzukashii and Oni all denied.
  1. Taiko difficulty are authentic as from AC12.5, 13 and 0, Wii2 and Wii4. Please only suggest inconsistency fixes or changes to difficulty schemes for these.

Almost all authentic Ouendan starts with a little of the intro, then a countdown, then notes. I miss them countdowns too much.

Julia no Shoushin authentic has three waves of notes at offbeat. Elaborate. Also now WHY ON EARTH WOULD A PLAYER PLAY A MAP ON HIDDEN RIGHT FROM THE START HAD THEY ANY KNOWLEDGE OF HOW THE MAP GOES? Annihilism? Anyway if you insist it done away, I offer you a circle on the large white tick, a slider over 迷いて/切なく and removing respective (3)s and (4)s.

I am going to give in as far as coincide them to the mid-point. This is a keystone part that deserves the three notes being separate circles.

00:25:923 - same goes as above, add a note or add 1/2 slider Lyrics-based all the way. お of 澱のように here.
00:30:142 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - you should try add another pattern :( you copy-paste a lot This is maintaining consistency. Plus similar constructs are seen a lot. See VISTA, Zoku and Samurai Blue.

err.. I don't get it what you mean by ouedan's okay?

I catch it says as, you follow the real taiko play as your map, and Imo, it is your map, you make them, not copy them, its different, playing on arcade and laptop, you gets easily bored on PC meanwhile, you can't get bored on real arcade, well =A=)a i don't really know about ouedan's stuff, never heard of it before =w=;;

Osu isn't Ouendan now, the osu latest pattern or whatever is not same with Ouendan anymore. please see latest osu maps as a reference please.

and again, the taiko authentic maps isn't rankable now. you should know.

Yuugao is literally this flower, used in Genji Monogatari as an identifier for a girl in the story (there's another gourd-ey plant also called Yuugao, but for the sake of origin this is better). I promise you, paintings directly based on Genji Monogatari looks weirder. This flower is at least 50% better than this.

I am more of a chart person so I rarely consider about peripheral settings like these and will probably suck big time.
Will put in the design notes section so that future modders can suggest stuff on these.

Moved 12px towards the centre. Reason as above and with respect to symmetry. Also wrt. symmetry 01:37:642 (1,2,3,4) is respectively moved
01:30:142 (1) -
This however I cannot give in more than a few px, because the red combo is a keystone component of the coming part, and I am putting a lot of emphasis here. That's why I am striving to show the whole red (1) and not covering half of it with blue (1) like in previous combos.

This is a very poorly done imitation of this pattern in the authentic chart of VISTA (Hard/Insane). For reference, see the blue (5)~(7) at around 0:36 of this video.
