パターンを作って音をつける場合、基本的にはそのパターンに従って音を置いて、曲による変化だとか、自分の感覚でところどころ音を変えます。
良くあるパターンだと、ダウンビート(1,3拍目)はfinish系の音か、何も音をつけないことが多いです。
バックビート(2,4拍目)にはclap系の音を置くことが多いです。
Insaneを見てみると、00:40:521から00:42:987までは2,4拍目にclapを置くパターンになっています。
ところが、00:43:398から00:46:274からは1,3拍目にclapを置くパターン、00:46:685からは2,4拍目にclapを置くパターンに戻っています。
Hitsoundのつけ方はmapperの好みだと(僕は)思いますが、パターンを作る場合はダウンビートにどんなパターンを置くか、バックビートにどんなパターンを置くかを意識して作ったほうが良いと思います。
