Problem details: I have recently started playing again and trying to get my rank back, the problem is that I am gaining no pp for any song that I fc no matter what it is. playing a song that is 175 pp gives me about 2 pp. is there something I can do about this?

Your pp score is weighted. Since u have a high top score, you will get less pp. If you want more info you can refer to this guide: https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/Performance_Points

Net PP = Weighted PP + Bonus PP.

You can read about bonus PP, but most of Net PP comes from weighted PP. Weighted PP is sum of all Raw PP, but only your top play is worth 100%. 2nd play is worth 95%, third play is worth (95^2)%, fourth play is worth (95^3)% etc. That's why setting new top play way above previous topbplay will give you way more Net PP.
