[Archived] osu screen error (unplayable)

Problem details:
after downloading a map to test for a friend my osu crashed and when i tried to open it again i got this
osu functions normally otherwise but i can't see anything

That doesn't look like an error you would ever receive in the actual client... That looks like something that would pop up when trying to visit a website, so I'm incredibly confused.

Sounds like you should probably just try restarting your computer.

the loading screen for osu loads normally then the main osu button will show then that error screen will show up
it kinda fixed itself after about a thousand restarts

edit: and it's back, it probably shows up randomly

Can you switch to Cutting Edge, get this to pop up, and then post the contents of the "runtime.log" and "network.log" files in your Logs folder.

If you can't switch to Cutting Edge normally, try holding shift while starting the game until a special configuration window pops. There should be an option to switch release streams on that window.
