[Archived] I made OSU! angry and i need help fixing it

Hey, I wanted a black background for osu! so I looked up how to do that and it linked me to this thread: https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/365196. I downloaded it thinking that it would solve my problem without reading the whole thread. After I downloaded the file RemoveOsuBackgrounds.exe I tried to play a map. It gave me a message saying that I made osu angry. So I uninstalled the file and now but it didn't work. I tried uninstalling osu and reinstalling but it was still broken. how do I fix osu?

I've tried using the repair tool

Simply add a background image at the map at the editor.

do I have to do that for every map?

If the background image files are in your recycling bin (unlikely), you can restore them. Otherwise, you'll need to manually redownload your maps to get the backgrounds to come back.

And yes, you will need to do that for every map. Reading what things do is pretty important.
