Try to reinstall the game (Backup Skins and Songs)
If still not fixed then message a support team
P/S: Sorry for my bad english.

Please find the "runtime.log" file in your osu!\Logs folder and post the contents of it here. Also if you could provide your computer specs, that would be great.

Please don't immediately recommend reinstalling the game. That should pretty much only be done as a last resort, if ever. Generally, any time that fixes an issue, there's a good chance it could have been fixed without completely reinstalling.

The isn't a file called "runtime.log" in Osu!\logs folder, only "update_success.log"

This issue is most likely being caused by your GPU. It doesn't seem to support the required OpenGL version (2.0+) to run the latest builds. Usually a separate error message is displayed somewhere, not sure why nothing showed up for you.

You can technically get back to an older version of the game still, however, something to keep in mind is that score submission on maps ranked after October 22nd has already been disabled. The rest of score submission may also be disabled at some point in the future. I'd highly recommend looking into updating your hardware a bit.

You can try this for now:
  1. Open your osu! folder (the default path is "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\osu!")
  2. Edit the file named "osu!.cfg" in notepad (you may need to enable file extensions to make it easier to find)
  3. Set the "_ReleaseStream" line equal to "Stable" (e.g. _ReleaseStream = Stable)
  4. Save the file and reopen osu!

If that doesn't work, download this installer (direct download link) and run it. If you already have a previous osu! installation with maps, skins, etc, make sure you change the installation path to the correct location on your computer. Otherwise it might install to a different location and you will need to move all of your maps and other data over manually.
