This tournament is currently open to Oceanic players AND players from various other all-mode communities.
Staff can be of any nationality.
Players from all-mode communities only need to abide by the rank requirements, not the nationality requirement.

At this point, anyone interested can join. We kinda need some players and staff, so anyone helping out or joining would be great.

Hello, and welcome to the Oceanic All-Mode Tourney (OAMT)!
This will be a 1v1 Scorev2 tournament for all Oceanic players, with few requirements/restrictions.
* There will be a maximum player cap of 12-16 players.
This tournament takes inspiration from o!2MC, another earlier all-mode tournament.
* A link to the forum post for o!2MC can be found here: https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/674927

Please note that this is a beta test of the tournament. There may be a few inconsistencies that we will need to handle that haven't been stated, but in the cases where things don't work or there could be room for improvement, I'll be happy to take on board feedback.
We will try to iron out any flaws and issues during the tournament where possible, though we might have to leave some things as they are. However, when we come across issues we will make sure to keep an eye out for them in the second iteration of the tournament later in 2019, where we hope to go fully global

Requirements
- A profile flag of an Oceanic country/region.
- Account created before December 1st 2018.
- At least 500 total plays between the 3 lowest play-count modes of the player.
- Must not have a global rank average above #5,000 using their top 3 modes.

Tournament layout
- Swiss-style round robin.
* The round robin stage will be Bo7 (first to 4)
- Seeded by comparative ability in different modes (using "running seeding", see seeding details for more info).
- Top 8 players will face off in a Double Elimination bracket, or if there are less than 8 players, 4 will play in a Single Elimination bracket..
* Bracket resets will be included in the grand final.
* The double elimination stage will be Bo9 (first to 5)

Mappool details
- All maps will be Freemod.
* Special mods (like Relax and Random) are prohibited, along with No Fail.
* Players are never forced to pick mods.
- Every mode pool will have 20 maps (and 3 tiebreakers), but 8 (4 consecutive levels of 2 maps) from each will be selected for each match based on player capabilities (plus a tiebreaker).
- The 14 maps in the pools will be of increasing difficulty (Lowest will be between 1 and 2.5 stars, highest will be between 4 and 6 stars for different modes).
- There will be three tiebreakers for each mode, all of varying difficulty for appropriate use in different matchups.
- There will be one mappool for the tournament

Seeding details
- Based on performances on maps in top 10 plays in each mode.
- Will be compared to other players and given a comparative point value in each respective mode.
- Point values will be added together to give initial seeding.
- Initial seeding value will be added to by maps won - maps lost to give a running seeding.
- Running seed will determine matchups and the final double elimination bracket.
- Running seed will have no effect after the double elimination bracket is locked in.

Match proceedings
- Refs open the lobby 10-15 minutes before the match and sends a PM to both players via in-game PMs.
* The match will be set to the following settings: Mode 0 (osu), Head to head, ScoreV2.
* If a player is absent from the lobby at the match start time, up to 10 minutes may be allocated before a WBD is awarded.
* In the case of a WBD:
* The player that attends the match will receive a win and in the round robin stage +4 points to their running seeding.
* The player who doesn't attend will be given a loss and lose 5 points from their running seeding, or be disqualified completely after their second no-show (or on their first no-show in the DE stage).
* If neither player shows up, both will receive the no-show penalty.
* Players that get disqualified will be blacklisted, and banned from future tournaments.
- Before the match starts, both players will PM the refs with their mode bans.
* This will make that mode unplayable for the duration of the match.
* Players may choose not to ban a mode, meaning that more than two modes will be played.
- Each player may pick a warm-up map (though they may skip warm-ups if they wish).
* Warm-up maps must not be from any mapset found in the mappools.
* Warm-up maps must not exceed a length of 4:00 (240 seconds) including breaks in the map.
* Warm-up maps must not be from any banned mode.
- After warmups, each player rolls (using !roll) to decide pick and ban order.
* Higher roll decides who bans first.
* Lower roll decides who picks first.
- Players will ban 1 map from the pools per mode left unbanned (plus an extra 1 in the RR stage), and will take turns banning one map until all bans are used.
* Players may not use more than two bans on a single mode.
- Players will then pick maps to play from the remaining available maps.
* A player must not pick from the same mode twice in a row.
- Players take turns picking maps until either of them reach the score limit OR both players are at match point (where a tiebreaker will be used).
* Tiebreaker will be selected based on what mode has the lowest level difference between the players out of the unbanned modes.
* If two or more modes are drawn for closest, next preference will be based on closest out of all modes, banned and unbanned.
* If a tiebreaker has still not been selected, the referee will roll out of the number of tied modes and select based on the result of the roll.
* The modes will take the numbers in roll based on lowest number associated with the mode (osu = 0, taiko = 1, etc. Therefore, osu will always take 1 if tied...)
* Tiebreaker level will be selected based on that mode's weaker player's lowest level +2 (e.g. a match between a level 5-8 vs 2-5 would use a level 4 tiebreaker, 7-10 vs 4-7 would use level 6, etc.)
- After the match finishes, referees will submit the mp link to the match history chat on discord, along with the scores and player bans and picks.

- Signups open December 23rd, and close January 27th. This is for both players and staff.
- Seeding will be done by February 3rd.
- Mappools will be released when seedings have been finalised.
- Round 1 of the round robin will begin one week after the mappool release. There will be 2-4 rounds of matches (based on number of participants), with two matches per weekend.
* Players will be matched up with the players two places above and below them at the start of the round.
- There will be a one week grace period before the DE rounds start.
- There will be one match for each player each weekend in DE, except for loser's gauntlet weekend (Losers bracket rounds 2&3) where two matches will be played, and if a bracket reset is required for the Grand Final.

Make sure you meet the requirements listed in the Requirements box in the Rules section before signing up!
You will only be registered once you join the discord!

Player signups are officially closed.

For people interested in staffing, there will be a link below in the Staff Sign-ups section.

We are currently looking for:

Miscellaneous info
- There are no plans to stream matches, however I will likely stream the grand final on my twitch, or a really hyped match that I am available for (maybe once a week or so if I feel up to it).
- Players in this tournament can't be on the staffing team.
- Any match reschedules must be done no later than the Thursday before the match.
* If a player requests a re-schedule within this time period, players must accept a request (with negotiating if necessary).
* If a new time can't be agreed on by both players, a new one will be found based on availability stated by the players that week.
* If there are still issues with the time, the reschedule will be discussed between staff and the players involved.
- Unjustified poor sportsmanship and/or disrespectful behaviour towards staff or players in most cases will be followed with instant disqualification of players.
* If a case is severe enough, a blacklist will be created and players who commit severe offences will be placed on the blacklist and banned from future tournaments.
- If you are not on the discord at the end of registrations, or leave the discord at any point in the tournament, you will be disqualified immediately and put on a blacklist.
- During the DE stage, we may make a few adjustments to the rules to make things a bit more 'interesting' if we feel like we need to, or just want to spice things up.
- We will not have any prizes for this tournament, though the winners will receive a role on the OAMT discord server to show off permanently. We'll even let you customise the colour!

Best of luck to all participants, and enjoy the tournament!

So, we have 12 players, meaning that I'll limit more players trying to come in. However, we still need 2-3 more referees to be able to make things work.
