[Archived] Slow Beatmap Downloads

Hi, I have been getting poor network speeds while downloading beatmaps (approx. 70KB/s) from the osu site for the past few weeks on both fibre broadband & cellular data so I did a ping test to a few ppy.sh URLs. Apparently, ping to osu.ppy.sh is 4ms while the ping to various download URLs like bm4.ppy.sh , bm5.ppy.sh & bm6.ppy.sh gives me 230-239ms (shown in image provided). Is there anything I can do to solve this or is this an ISP routing issue? I am from Singapore.

had same problem, osu!direct speeds changed from super slow to instant, based on my location and since it was 20-30km difference i'd say its caused by isp (or your local network setup) rather than osu infrastructure
