[Archived] inconsistent mouse movment

Problem Details:
im not sure how to explain but when im on a slider my mouse seems to lock onto it
i have raw input on vsync off and enhance pointer precision off

check if you have mouse acceleration disabled in your windows mouse&trackpad settings (if you're on windows)

i dunno then, you're not the first one to report this issue but osu definitely doesnt have this built in

the problem you've described is not visible on the video, however i think it could be side effect of you playing maps that are little bit above your skill level..or i might be wrong

and yes, support reads these forums

Seeing as you bumped 2 other old threads with similar issues, I'm assuming you are still having issues yourself. Please bump your own thread next time if it has been a few days since the last response instead of other ones.

Have you actually tried the suggestions in the threads you linked and bumped? There are a bunch of different things that are possible to try in all of them. e.g. Reinstalling your mouse's drivers.

The video you linked is 5 minutes long, and from the 2 minutes I watched I didn't even notice anything weird about the cursor movement, can you point out a specific spot where this issue is occurring? It really just looks like the person's aim is extremely inconsistent, and any "locking on" to the sliders is just placebo. Basically what modrei said 3 days ago.

it is not placebo and yes i have tried reinstalling my mouse drivers and factory resetting windows and neither fixed the issue

there really is not a spot in the video i could refer to
all i could really say is to look at the movement when he is on the sliders but even with me having the problem its hard to see

also im getting a new motherboard and cpu soon ill update to see if the issue is still there it might help others locate the issue

hey i know its been a long time but i upgraded my cpu and the issue is still there. has anyone found a solution? i will update more as i swap out more parts

new keyboard and mouse issue still there playing mania till there is a fix
